I bought this sound bar with the assumption it would be an easy setup. Downloading the app, configuring the remote all simple. Now when it came to the sound connection options i had two. HDMI ARC and OPTICAL. Obviously HDMI ARC was my go too as sound quality is better. When it didnt work, I called Bose CS. After an 1.5hrs of trouble shooting with someone in England they could not figure out how to get me 700 and Samsung TV to work via HDMI ARC. So the easiest solution for them was to say connect and use OPTICAL. After now being 100% satisfied I started reading online and there is a known issue with easy configuration of Bose sound bars and Samsung TVs. I was on the verge of returning this sound bar to Best Buy. Until.... I remembered Harley for my in home consultation of my network and how professional he was. I saved his number and texted him this morning, within 1hr he called me back, walked me through a few TV and Bose APP configurations and lo and behold SOUND WITH HDMI ARC!! If it wasnt for Harley I would have given myself a sad Christmas Gift and given up. You can count on Harley!! He is a PRO in all things Best Buy and probably something on the black market that no one else would not... :) j/k!!! Thank you so much Harley for everything!! If I could I would give you 20 Stars not 5!

Very clear delivery, beautiful design, Sound comes from several different angles, it doesn't have Dolby Atmos yet but, I don't miss it since the sound is so clear, so immersive, and so amazing. Simply the best name in the business of home theater at this price point! Google Assistance and Amazon Alexa are both also integrated into this soundbar system.

I Love the surround sound and the bass is awesome.

I've been looking at this sound bar for about 3 years. I finally decided to spend the money to get it. I was impressed by the sound in stores. I was really let down by the functionality. The sound bar looks beautiful. It comes with this huge remote. It only seems to light up in certain places. Sometimes it would light up the entire remote. I bought this sound bar because it works over wifi and bluetooth. My TVs have those features. In order to connect the sound bar to the wifi, it has to be connected to an ethernet cable. This is needed to connect the sound bar to the bose app that it uses. You can only use the bluetooth features if you have the app. I tried pairing the sound bar repeatedly to just pair the sound bar without using the app. Your TV or phone will never find the signal for the sound bar without the app. This is one of the worst things that bose could've done. I should not need an app to find anything that has bluetooth capabilities. I was able to connect the remote to control my TV, but it does not output the sound to the sound bar without being connected with an hdmi, or optical cable. My lower priced Samsung sound bar connected to my TV via Bluetooth with no problems or apps. When I finally got the sound bar connected, I did a comparison on sound between the bose and the Samsung. I have a Samsung sound bar, subwoofer, and two mini speakers. I turned both systems all the way up. The Samsung system has a decent sound with all devices up. I was blown away by the crystal clear sound from just the sound bar from bose. The bass was not there. That comes from the subwoofer. It was huge difference in sound from bose. Bose still brings the sound eventhough it is a headache to setup. I planned on placing the sound bar under my couch. Since it did not work as I planned, I would've had to mount it under my TV. The mounting hardware does not come with the sound bar. You have to buy it as a separate item at a price of $40. I decided to return the sound bar and the mounting hardware that I bought later on. I ended up buying a Sony sound bar with the subwoofer. I'll review that one too. I think it's time to make some changes to this bose item. I love their headphones. I just wished this purchase was worth more than the name.

Easy setup, good upgrade from tv speaker. Expensive but worth it

I like the Bose products. Sound quality is great! This speaker has a really good surround sound effect that comes from the side speakers. Paired with the subwoofer and awesome home theater audio. It's a little pricey, but all Bose devices are.

I was in need of a new soundbar and subwoofer and after weeks of research, audio testing, endless specs and customer reviews i realized that there is no better sound quality than a bose. And if i want movie theater, bass shaking, glass breaking quality in tv and movies with as little wiring as possible, i had to go with the bose soundbar 700 and subwoofer... its not cheap but superior sound never is and 2 months later it still feels like the first time ive ever heard it blow my ears and mind. I also feel bose has the best audio vocal clarity. Most soundbars in the price range are loud and sound great but to hear a heartbeat and coin drop in the middle of an action scene is extraordinary. Not only does it sound great but it looks beautiful with tempered glass touch glass top, and enough weight to remind you it is not cheap and means business. It is easily controlled through the bose app or with the very soft remote that lights up and lets you know what buttons you can use with the tv, radio, etc.

Set up and connection is super easy! I have Google Assistant installed and it integrates perfectly with the rest of my devices at home. The product looks good and sounds even better, I use it to watch sports and movies and it sounds wonderful. I upgraded form a Samsung home theater system and you can definitely see the difference

I mainly bought this for space and because it’s one of the few, if only, white soundbars on the market. I don’t like that it doesn’t have HDMI pass through so it only seems superfluous to have an HDMI connection. I ended up having to send sound out of my tv using optical as I know of no tv that has HDMI out. Sound is very convincing for not decoding atmos, dolby digital, etc.

Sounds fantastic...when it works. The problem is that it’s messed up more than it works. I’ve had nothing but trouble with this system. I also bought the bass module and surround sound speakers - Spent right at $2000 for this setup. I’ve had to call Bose for tech support time after time and I’ve literally spent hours upon hours on the phone with them troubleshooting problems that even they can’t readily resolve. The remote control is a complete piece of junk. I just spent over two hours having to restore the whole system to factory settings and start over - All because the remote keeps unpairing. And don’t even get me started on the setup process or the lack of functionality and bugs associated with the iPhone app (which you have to use). I should have taken this system back at the first sign of trouble but I wanted so badly to my first Bose system because I’ve always known of their reputation for quality. Unfortunately, this model is the epitome of garbage. Now I’m beyond the return period and stuck with this pile of junk. I wouldn’t recommend this system to my worst enemy.

Great sound and easy to setup/use. It goes great with my Samsung TV.

The music is so crisp and clean even at high volume. I hesitated bc of the cost - but so glad I finally purchased. Had my brother and dad over at Christmas and they were blown away by the sound quality! No pun intended. Easily connected to my 4K tv and makes movie watching even more fun. I got the surround sound speakers and bass 700 also and I am so so happy that I did!

Bose soundbar700 is a small speaker that produce a movie theater like surround sound system. Especially if it is paired with the Bass module700 and two satellite cube surround speakers Experienced like you are inside AMC theaters. I bought the whole system. Soundbar 700, the corresponding Bass Module 700 and the cube satellite speakers.
