    I recently purchased the bose 700 sound bar, woofer, and rear speakers. I was initially impressed with the fantastic sound quality. However, since the firmware update in November the speaker stopped working with my tv entirely. Turns out this is an issue with the HDMI. There has since been two additional firmware updates which did not fix the problem but introduced new problems such as making the Bose remote no longer work with my TV and my universal TV remote won't work with the Bose speaker. There are lots of people with the same issue. I urge you to read the following forum before wasting a pretty penny. https://community.bose.com/t5/Smart-Home/HDMI-ARC-Soundbar-reports/td-p/250320
