I have had very bad luck with soundbars over the years, and I was a tad apprehensive about spending so much on this one. The reviews were solid and it was on sale, so I took the plunge. Wow. I didn’t think you could get such performance from a soundbar. After taking the time to calibrate the ADAPTIQ ( which was an interesting, but entertaining experience in and of itself) I was immediately blown away! I added the subwoofer and even without the back channels, this thing is throwing superior surround sound! If you’re thinking about buying this, do it! You won’t be disappointed. Even the packaging is superior! I can’t say enough about Bose, these days it seems like you rarely get what you pay for, but this soundbar is an exception!

My old speaker was Definitive Technology sound bar with a decent sound quality, but it wouldn't support ARC, nor some of the recent audio codecs, specifically Dolby Atmos with spatial audio. After a short trip to BestBuy and spending enough time in Magnolia Section, I made my choice Bose 900 /w Base 700 and Surround Speakers 700! What a difference...!!! Wow!!! If one is in search of highest-DB loud music - you may have some alternatives...(skipping brand names here!) However, if the quality sound in the small form factor, with reasonable price-tag sound system is your goal, look no further! Doesn't matter what I was playing, some Trance (with Armin Van Buuren, Gareth Emery,..), or John Coltrane, or listening for a deep bass with Ron Carter quartet, or hearing the massive sound while playing - Handel 'Messiah' with London Symphony Orchestra - I kept on being surprised and was so excited!!! Finally, when I turned the TV on with the '‎The Rise of Skywalker' with all the overhead effects and the massive sound with the rumbling lows shaking the floor and the basement - I realized that I made the RIGHT CHOICE!!! And my BEST CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!! ;-)) I highly recommend it to those who seeks special! ;-))

I like this more than my ARC from the other guys. Much better bass no need for a sub. I have this in my home office under a Qled 60 and recently added the rear surrounds. It fills this small 20 x 20 space perfectly with great sound

WE LOVE IT!! Very was to install using the bose app. Once it updated you can name it. By calling it dating hey Google turn on Carter soundbar. It turns on/off also with volume control as well. The sound is bigger and beyond what you can image in a large room. My family loves movie nights way better now!

This sound bar sound is awesome. I don’t usually use sound bars but had to fir space reasons. The bass without subwoofer is good but definitely improves hugely with sub woofer. The manual is not great and the remote is too small and no back lighting. Also the length of the sound bar at 40.5” makes it not very portable and hard to ship. Other than that it’s a great sound bar

My prior sound bar was ok. It wasn't really designed for the room it was in (a great room with a vaulted ceiling), and the nature of audio being surround sound made dialog sound muddled. We ended up watching TV with the closed captioning on most of the time. There are some great soundbars out there, we chose the Bose 900. It handles surround sound much better, and the smartphone app allows you to tailor the individual channels to be sure you have voice clarity. It's amazing. We can listen with clarity at lower volume as well. Lots of app settings to help compatibility in all kinds of situations. Highly recommended. One note. The subwoofer doesn't like the 5G in home wifi. It'll crackle. Just plug in using the 3.5mini jack and the problem goes away.

Impressive, immersive sound system. I have paired this product with a 500 BASS MODULE and two rear speakers. I have a newer TV that is able to has Dolby vision and can pass through sound at Dolby digital PLUS. The soundbar then does the rest with programming from APPLE TV, ROKU, etc. Netflix, Disney+ programs and select movies are Dolby Atmos —and WHOA NELLY! That’s where you get your moneys worth!

Where do I begin? The sound bar is absolutely wonderful. The sound is crisp and clear. When you’re playing music it sounds like you’re in a musical concert. When you’re watching TV it sounds like you’re at a theater it’s beautifully designed it has a glass top I just love it.

Enjoying the sound but having problems coordinating it with my Samsung TV. With the HDMI plugged into the speaker and ARC port on the TV, I turn off the Tv and a minute later, the sound bar turns on the TV. Mailed it into Bose and they're looking at it.

The sound from this is incredible. I have it in my apartment without the subwoofer and the base is insane. The surround sound effect is very nice. Only downside is having to use the app to set it up and can be a little buggy but it the sound is great.

I returned Sonos Gen. 2 for this one and am so glad I did. Treble is so much crispier; bass is more powerful (no need for extra bass, for me). It easily fills up my game room with minimal volume up. Connection to my TV is pretty straightforward. Be mindful: The whole unit is relatively large compared to other sound bars.

This soundbar does not dissapoint. I bought this for my bedroom and it sounds great. The Adaptiq feature is great when you use it. Even without a sub it sounds great although it would be overkill in my bedroom. For living room use, i would get the sub. Bose has a winner with this soundbar.

This soundbar packs a punch and looks great while doing it! Multiple connection options (eARC, Optical) allow for easy connection to just about any modern TV. Easy to set up (Bose Music App) and worked right out of the box! We added the subwoofer & surround speakers and it blows away any system we've had before! Big, clear sound! Highly recommended for a home theater or gaming setup!!

Excellent sounds quality. The single speaker atmos is good. Took a bit of setup but not an out of the ordinary amount. I like the ability to add other speakers wirelessly later on if needed. Plus with eARC no need to use multiple remotes

The Bose smart soundbar 900 is a great purchase. I live in an apartment complex so I have to be somewhat wary of the amount of noise I produce. This sound bar generates more than enough power to where I get fully immersed. The subwoofer that is sold separately is not needed and I’m sure my neighbors down stairs appreciate that this sound bar gives enough base with out one.

Was debating between this and the Sonos Arc however the Bose 900 was on sale recently so i ended up buying. Amazing sound quality and sounds 10X better after tuning it with the headband included in the box. Overall it gets very loud with nice bass i would definitely recommend.

Awesome soundbar. The sound that comes out of this bar is crisp and loud. Watching movies with is soundbar make you feel like you are at the movie theater. I really recommend this soundbar. The design looks elegant and sounds awesome.

Great Sound. Relatively easy setup. Like that it syncs with Bose 700 headphones so that I can set the volume as I desire and watch TV when my wife is asleep. At times I do have issues with the Bose app connecting with it. Sometimes I have to unplug Soundbar in order to reboot it. Those last 2 issues is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5,

This sound bar delivers the most excellent sound I have ever experienced. It was very easy to install by following directions on the app. I bought this because I was beyond tired of never hearing the dialogue in movies we tried to watch. This absolutely solved my problem. Can’t get over how clean the sound is and feels like surround sound. Best purchase I ever made.
