I have been trying to connect this thing for the last hour to my tv and it will not work. Which is what drove me to write this review. I was watching tv and suddenly the sound bar stopped working. This is the 4th time this happened. I wish I could return this and get my money back so i can buy a different one. For this type of money you expect this work flawlessly

I removed all my big tower and surround speakers and installed bose soundbar. It has excellent sound quality and very stylish and sleek appearance. I love it.

If you set the tv sound option to passthrough you will get a 3 second delayed start on hearing the confent. For example if I pause or fast-forward a show on a streaming platform and then hit resume the bar will take 3 seconds to begin playing sound. This happens with huilt in tv apps, blu-rays and hdmi devices. I have switched out the bar twice and fully updated my tv. I have also tried the different cec settings in the bose music app. My temporary solution is to run the TV sound setting on auto so it will do lpcm 5.1 and atmos. I know this is a bose firmware issues as I upgraded from the 700 which worked perfectly. Also I tried the sonos arc which worked with no issues and had better atmos effect. Also installing bose firmware is a nightmare, I had to use a usb cable and my laptop to get it to work. Instead of blaming the customer, Bose needs to really work on its firmware and customer service.
