    This is one of the worse audio devices I have ever purchased. Besides sounding like a tin can tied to a string, it constantly does not have sound output when turning on the tv. Has to be unplugged and plugged back in. Trust the bad reviews on this overpriced brick of bad experiences. For the price, I expected better. From the name, I expected reliability.

    Never buy from best buy instead buy from Bose.com direct as they offer a 90 day risk free return.. prices are often discounted more on the Bose website..best buy return policies are limited to 15 days and they refused to price match my product which dropped by 100$ on the official Bose website since it was out of the return window of 15 days

    As this item requires an internet setup to work, I have tried as others to get it to work with no luck. I liked it when items came with a DVD to setup the item, and I hate that companies now think that to save money, they will just require you to use a internet app to do so. I will not recommend this item to anyone.

You only need to connect the soundbar to the internet if you want to use it via Wi-Fi, for example stream music via the Bose Music app or use a voice assistance. If you don't wish to use these features, you can only connect the soundbar via HDMI ARC to your TV and even stream music via Bluetooth.

    Was excited then when I setup the soundbar the sound wouldn’t automatically turn on when you turn on the tv. Switched to another brand. Great when it did work

    I bought this to compare with a Sonos Arc. There is no comparison here, the Arc just sounds bigger and fuller. Bose needs to step up to complete.

    The 900 sounds great. But it takes a long time to turn on and when you turn it off it turns back on.

    Very good sound bar when coupled with the bass module. Only problem was when I installed 2 surround sound speakers. They very seldom work and when they do, very little sound comes from them. I ran the calibration program and confirmed all back speakers do actually work. Not happy with the “surround” sound performance.

      I am glad to hear you enjoy the soundbar and bass module. It is surprising that you do not find them ery loud. It is great step that you ran adaptIQ to make sure that your surround speakers were working. The surround speakers will be fully utilized when streaming 5.1 content through your TV. This means that if the content is not 5.1, they will either be low volume or not be used. Most streaming services will display a '5.1' sticker in the program description to confirm that they are 5.1 and you can also find the same tag on the back of Blu-Ray DVD cases. If you experience low audio with 5.1 content, you can also adjust the volume levels manually via the Bose music App: https://bose.life/3Wo30r9

    Never even got to use it. Installed Bose app, followed the instructions. It pretty much turned into a brick after that. Continuously trying to download the update to no avail, tried resetting it, tried putting in into recovery mode. Messed with it for 3 hours. returned it the next day..

    This soundbar didnt seem any better than the TV speakers. Everyone in the room was still straining to hear if a character spike but could hear backgound noise clear as day. Adjusting settings didnt help. Had to buy additional speakers to supplement.
