To achieve the best results, ensure that your Bose Smart Soundbar is positioned properly placed in front of your TV on an open, solid surface without obstructions. For optimal audio performance, connect it using HDMI‑ARC or eARC. We also recommend using the Bose Music app to fine‑tune the sound settings, adjust bass levels to your preference, enable Dialogue Mode if clearer vocals are needed, and keep the firmware up to date.
Additionally, using high‑quality audio sources and setting your TV’s audio output to Dolby Digital can significantly enhance sound performance. If you’re looking for deeper, more powerful bass, pairing your soundbar with a Bose Bass Module is highly recommended for a more immersive experience.

Software ware update on Samsun tvs stopped after 5 years so that could be issue for some new Samsung tv no problem

This issue is often related to the TV’s audio settings, the specific app, or the type of connection being used (HDMI‑ARC/eARC or optical). As a first step, please check that your TV’s audio output format is set to Digital (PCM) or Dolby.
How to check your TV’s audio output settings: General Method (Most TV Brands)
1. Press the Settings or Menu button on your TV remote.
2. Go to Sound or Audio Settings.
3. Select Expert Settings, Advanced Settings, or Digital Audio Output (the wording may vary by TV brand).
4. Find Digital Output Audio Format and set it to PCM (Digital/Stereo) or Dolby Digital / Auto.
After making any changes, we recommend turning the TV and soundbar off and back on to refresh the connection.
