I purchased this to replace an older 2 price set. This unit sounds better than others in the same price range, and some higher, and the set up is almost non existent. The bass is full while not overpowering and the midrange and highs play off the living room very well. Even at high volume levels the eq stays balanced.

Being a "Boseophile" this sound system is great for a small room. I have this under my 43" television in the master bedroom and the sound is incredible. I wouldn't recommend this for larger rooms, if that is what you are looking for go with the Soundtouch, Acoustimass or Lifestyle systems but for small rooms this is ideal. I have Bose products everywhere, my boat, patio, living room (wave system), family room (Acoustimass) and a Soundlink mini to take to the lake cabin and blast out playlists from my phone! A few reviews mention the bass being weak, not my experience! Bass and Treble can be adjusted easily with the remote, I can feel the bass from action movies etc. As with any sound system, the acoustics of the room make a huge difference, moving the system an inch closer to a wall will bring out floor thumping bass yet still have crystal clear dialogue. This is a great sound system!

My Bose sound bar surround system is Awesome, clear sound better then other system I've had my tons of speakers and cables everywhere. Easy to install, and Bluetooth adaptable makes it easier to listen to your music. Highly recommended.

It certainly doesn't have the depth of my Acoustimass 10 but it's much better than the sound from the TV, in particular the base sounds. It is very convenient to be able to place it under the TV. The universal remote makes it convenient to run the Blu-ray player, TV, and speakers. The Bluetooth is makes it convenient to play music through my IPhone and iPod.
