Not to mention there is an update as soon as you plug it in that takes HOURS. Tested out Comcast Tv channels, my Netflix and Disney plus movies and my PS4 Warzone gaming. ALL sounded just okay. For the money I would buy something else. Returned within a few days.

Sorry to hear you have returned your Soundbar 500 and the audio quality had not met your expectations.
We suggest using the ADAPTiQ feature on your soundbar in the set up process. This programs the audio quality to work best in your living environment. As for the update, if performed through the Bose Music app, this typically would take up to 30 minutes. The speed of the update is dependant on your WiFi connectivity, you may have been using more bandwidth elsewhere, therefore slowing down the update process.
