I bought this open box with the understanding that the remote was missing. At least that is what it said on tag outside of the box. Once I got it home I found the remote inside the box. But it was missing the optical cable and an HDMI cable. While I love the sound quality. It is a pain to set this up. No onscreen navigation. We actually had to do a factory reset, thanks YOUTUBE. Then it connected.

The sound is as expected from a Bose system and the Bluetooth and Alexa functions work as advertised. However I cannot give it 5 stars because at this price point I would expect a bit more clarity at higher volume and it does not come with the subwoofer module so it becomes too expensive for the money. Other than that, I would if you like Bose products and are looking for a completely wireless sound bar with Bluetooth and Alexa built in functions.

Sound quality awesome as expected from Bose. Only complaint is the lighting on speaker. There is no way to know when the system is on or off unless sound is being heard. The lights are not intuitive as far as if Bluetooth, TV or music is the current output. The red light has come on twice now indicating to contact Bose customer service despite no issues with speaker or sound.

Purchased to replace a vision sound bar. Well worth the money great sound and easy setup

I purchased the Bose Sounder 500 and the overall sound is great. I had a Zvox prior to this purchase and it is as good or better than the previous one. The problem is I cannot Get Alexa to work at all. I had my son come over with his phone to try to get Alexa to work. He has worked for Best Buy before and is very adept at technical problems. He could not get Alexa to work either. That is my only complaint with this purchase.

Replaced an older Sony soundbar I purchased 3 years ago. Couldn’t be happier with the huge improvement in sound. Salesman at the store almost talked me into another higher end Sony sound bar that was cheaper but happy I went with the BOSE. Paired it with the subwoofer 500 and together they can rattle the pictures on my walls when watching a movie or playing a game and the sound still sounds crisp at those volume levels.

Overall I am pleased with the soundbar. I will say that the sound quality is not overwhelming and I expected a bit more. However, it is very clear and crisp. I plan to purchase wireless speakers to support it as well as the subwoofer. There are more economical options out there, but I prefer Bose products and plan to expand the system. I love the sleek design and it is very simple to set up.

This is a great product, great sound and very easy to setup.

Great voice but difficult to connect with Samsung TV Didnt work with HDMI cable with Samsung TV. It will work for one day but will not work next day. Works with optical Audio cable. Had to buy one to make it work. Since I connected using optical it works.

Lost my 700 to a lightning strike and needed to replace it. I decided on a 500 since in the store it had very similar sound quality. I got it home and replaced a Sony Sound bar and the difference in BASS, surround features and how much of an upgrade the overall sound quality is amazing. I really was upset about my 700 but this 500 is truly a great replacement with very similar sound quality.

This sound bar has great sound even in our large living room. Previously we had to turn the volume up pretty high on our tv to hear well with movies etc. now we don’t have to. Movie quality sound at home! We debated adding the subwoofer at some point although probably not since the sound bar does have excellent bass already...

The speaker is the perfect size, fitting conveniently in the space underneath our TV on a credenza. The unit produces great sound, as we expect from Bose! Several complaints: (1) it takes approximately 7 seconds for the sound to come on when the TV is first turned on; and (2) we received a remote but with NO printed instructions regarding its use.

Sound and quality are excellent. Perfect size, fits just in front of the TV

Setup was easy and the sound is amazing. Worth the price and purchase.
