Nobody's perfect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I own a $300 pair of Bose headphones and a set of $400 Bose TV speakers. That was money well spent. HOWEVER . . . I could not be less satisfied with the SoundDock III. This thing sounds horrible and hollow. I was pathologically optimistic and waited too long to return it (time for eBay?) I rely on customer reviews for purchase decisions. I'm happy for everyone who loves their SoundDock III but I hate mine. I don't use it. I can't. The noise it produces is an ugly reminder of wasted money.

Expensive Brick
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great for awhile but after a few years the audio died. It still charges an iPod/iPhone but I can get that from a $10 charger. I can see some offbrand no-name manufacturer not lasting long but I expected more out of a high-priced Bose. Apparently this is a common problem but I'm not cracking it open to try the DIY fix.
