I have had several different bluetooth speakers. Some pretty good (Oontz XL) and some pretty awful. I was shocked that this Bose unit not only sounds great but has so much solid, clear bass. Where does it all come from? This is the perfect size, plays louder than you need it to and lasts 8 hours. I have never been a big Bose fan but when I heard this I knew I had to have it. I am certainly not disappointed.

If you want a nice sounding portable speaker for a good price, this Bose Soundlink Color speaker is a good option. It is a great value and the speaker is small enough to easily carry around anywhere you want music. The sound is clean, with a reasonable amount of bass and clear mid-range and treble. As with many Bluetooth speakers, the bass sounds much better if you place your speaker up against a wall. The pairing process is simple and the voice prompts make it very quick and easy to use. When the battery is low, the voice prompt notifies you to plug it in. The larger, more expensive speakers may have better bass, but they are not as portable or inexpensive as this little speaker. You really don't sacrifice much in sound quality to get this speaker at a great price. I do own the larger Bose Soundlink as well , but it is so large and expensive that I don't like to take it out of the house too often. As a side note, this speaker works flawless with my iPhone, but my Surface tablet is very inconsistent with any Bluetooth speakers. That is not a speaker issue - it is just the buggy Windows OS. When I go into the Windows Bluetooth settings and toggle Bluetooth off and on, it usually fixes the issue of no sound with my Surface 3.

As with many Bose products, you have high expectations with sound quality and the Soundlink is no different. It delivers quite a punchy sound for something so small. The controls are easy to use and paired with my phone's BT without issue. I was hopeing the Soundlink would have controls to change songs, instead, just basics as play, pause, vol up and down. Depending on bluetooth device and version, you may experience a half-second delay with video and audio in Youtube. It's portable, holds up up well on a small charge, cost effective and great sound makes this a Best Buy.

Great sound but after one year the power plug caught fire and shorted out. May have to try the Beats Pill next.

Bought this because I was looking for a portable, usb-charging bluetooth speaker for my apartment, porch, and the beach. It actually gets really loud without distorting the sound. I listen to hip hop, metal, alt. rock and electronic music and everything sounds great. The battery life is great and it's really easy to pair with bluetooth devices. I was looking at a different one by Bose (more expensive), a JBL and a Beats one. The JBL was a close second but it wasn't as loud, it was bigger and the sound quality wasn't as great for about the same price. The Beats was a total joke - the sound was horrible and it was double the price on sale - plus it was huge. The more expensive Bose would have been nice but I figured I just didn't need to spend the money because this one is awesome.

There are so many bluetooth speakers out there, it' shard to decide. This one has out performed my expectations. Bluetooth connected, with an AUG option to plug in other devices, charges up and you can take it on the go! There is rubber surrounding the buttons so when you take it out, sand and other things don't get around the buttons. And the sound....well, it's Bose...so that probably speaks for itself but just for safe measure...it's wonderful! Very loud for a small speaker and the bass is great!

This isa great speaker for small size. God quality sound. Easy to operate. Portable. Has good battery life Good price. I paid 119..00 but shortly after I bought it it went for 99.00 even better.

So, I was browsing my local Best Buy with my mom and we stumbled these little guys all lined up in a row of skittles colored glory. I obviously messed with a few of them, seeing what the sound quality was (which was amazing) and laughing that this one matches my Bose over ear headphones perfectly. I mentioned off-hand how awesome it would be to have one of these in the house to play music on while I was cooking or doing dishes or homework or just wanted to listen to music without headphones. Next thing I know, my lovely mom is dragging me to the check out with one of these in hand and buying it even when I told her not to as an early birthday present. Spontaneous purchases make me nervous- I like to research things like this before I buy so I know their shortcomings and I know what to expect when I have had it for a few months, so buying this speaker was fun for the 5 minutes until we were going home and I was freaking out that it may not be worth it. I am happy to say my nerves were proven extremely wrong. I find myself wanting to find time to use this thing because it's such good quality sound. It is so easy to grab and take with me to another room of the house and I have been using it almost daily for 3 months and I have only had to recharge it once and it wasn't even dead, it was at half charge. It is very simple to understand and set up, you can pair 2 devices at once on it which is great when I have my friends over and we can swap who's music is playing super simply. I have spilled flour all over this while baking and I just wiped it off with a wet wipe and went about my day. It is very much worth it's price and I can fill the whole living room/dining room/kitchen area of my house with just 1 speaker and that's hard to do! I play jazz on it often when I cook and I swear it feels like I am sitting right there watching a band play, that is how crystal the sound is. If you are looking for a bluetooth speaker, give this one a shot - you will not be disappointed.

Got this for my girlfriend and let me tell you... she loves it! The sound quality is great, good bass and really good battery life. She uses it every morning and the volume on it is great. Really satisfied with this and it's still kicking strong for 3 months with no signs of stopping. Also from other Bluetooth speakers this one has never gave me problems connecting, takes 3 seconds :) we use Galaxy S3/S6

We bought this online and picked up at the store for a christmas gift for someone. He wanted a bluetooth sound speaker to use everywhere. We listened to christmas music after he opened it up. The sound was clear and loved that it had a rechargeable battery. It was easy to connect via bluetooth and right away we could start listening to music and was easily able to switch to another phone. It also has an AUX port which made it easy if we ever needed to want to listen to music on an older device that doesn't have bluetooth. Loved that it was small and could easily pack into a backpack. Great Gift!

I compared everything out there in the $100 to $150 range and this is the best sounding by far. Bass is deep for such a small speaker. I generally use it in the bathroom and it fills it very well. Its very easy to set up. It isn't water proof but I'll still be taking it to the beach as it puts out big sound. I like this item so much I purchased a second one for my son as a Birthday gift.

This is the second Bose Soundlink Color that I've bought in the last year. My daughter has used hers for the past year quite extensively and has even allowed me to borrow it when I'm doing projects around the house. Bose sound is the best and the small profile of the speaker really works well when you're moving around your house or the garage. It's highly portable and holds a charge quite well. Never had a problem synching up a device over Bluetooth. This particular item was purchased as a gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Highly recommended!

I was looking for a small speaker for my iPod. I had tried many different ones before (small and cheap), but the sound wasn't that good. This one was a bit over $100, but man, when I heard the sound, I fell in love with it. It's a small speaker, but the sound is amazing. It has good volume level, but the good thing is that the music stays very clear (good bass too). You can charge it and play it for a few hours unplugged. It has Bluetooth connection, but it also has an Aux option ( Aux cable not included). Overall, I'm greatly satisfied with this product. I wouldn't expect anything less from Bose.

I went into Best Buy planning to buy a different cheaper bluetooth speaker, but after sampling the sound quality of the Bose Soundlink, I decided to splurge a little. The sound quality is so much better than the other bluetooth speakers that I sampled in the store. It is easy to pair, I really like the voice guidance feature, and it is light enough to transport. It also gets much louder than some of the other brands that I looked at. I do not have any regrets about spending a little more than I had planned.

I will be honest - I absolutely love my Beats By Dre Headphones and was torn between purchasing this wireless speaker or the Beats Pill. However after reading reviews for both products and listening to both in the store, it's very clear that for the price, this product simply cannot be beat! I know Bose is a leader in the electronics industry but WOW just doesn't do it justice! Best electronics purchase I've made this year!!

I bought this as a replacement for an iHome speaker (that actually sounded great but had connectivity issues). That unit only really had Airplay connectivity, and I wanted more mobility, thus the move to the Bose. I have purchased Bose products in the past and have always been thoroughly satisfied with their sound and quality. This unit is no exception. The sound is great, and it produces a decent amount of bass for the size... plenty enough to fill a room. And I've noticed that the location of where you place it will affect the bass response and as a result have discovered the sweet spots in my house. Connecting up to the unit is easy as the unit talks you through the process and have already connected it to three different devices. Of real convenience is that the unit has a standard micro USB port for charging. It holds a charge pretty well although I've never really run it empty since I’ll recharge it when I remember, so no problems there. IMO, the unit is definitely worth the price paid and as with all Bose products, you are also purchasing peace of mind that the unit will perform and last for years to come.

Used outdoors during my training sessions. I play everything from classical to trap/house. Sounds great for all different types of music! Everyone loves the sound quality! Even my teenage boys use it to play their music when their buddies come over to hang out. The bass is awesome! Easy to connect to any bluetooth. The size is just right to take anywhere. My youngest child uses it at night to listen to audio books. Quality product and worth the investment.

Wasn't too sure about this speaker and almost ended up getting a beats pill. I'm so glad I didnt, not only are the beats pill speakers over priced but I found this little Bose speaker to have amazing sound quality, can get really loud, as well as terrific bass. It charges super fast and stays charged for more than a couple of days. Overall I ended up saving 180$ compared to what I would have spent on the ridiculous pill, love love love this little Bose speaker.

i really like this speaker. I believe it offers the best combination of sound and portability. I've had other portable speakers that did not produce anywhere near the sound quality or volume. This is the best at anywhere this price point. My son in law has the soundlink mini, which produces excellent sound, but is somewhat heavier, and can't be charged via USB port. The sOund is somewhat base heavy, as Bose speakers usually are. All in all, it's a great value.

I've previously owned a 1st generation Jawbone Jambox. However, the jambox wasn't loud enough for my liking. I had my mind set on two options: the Bose Soundlink Color or the Beacon Audio Blazar. I've heard sound from the Beacon Audio Blazar various times because of a family member owning one in the home. Although the Beacon did sound better than the Jambox, I had decided to purchase the Soundlink Color and have had it for about two months. I usually listen to Soul/R&B, Hip-Hop and Pop cultured music. I was really impressed at how clear the sound was in comparison to the jambox. The sound is so clear, you wouldn't think it were coming from a bluetooth speaker. The mid's of the music are heavily emphasized just like other bose products. Live music and music with a lot of drums and acoustics will always sound great with bose products. The bluetooth pairing is pretty much instant once you've enabled bluetooth on both of your devices. I think it may have the fastest instant connection I've seen in any bluetooth audio product I've owned. I would have to say that the battery life is probably about 6-8 hours of use. By looking at the product, you can tell that the design is trying to reach a rugged/outdoor use, which is a good thing. It is made out of a very strong plastic and has rubber buttons. Although the device isn't as portable as the jambox, it is slightly bigger and has better sound overall. I would have to say that the sound link color may be 2-3 times louder than the1st gen jambox. In conclusion, it is a great product from Bose. It is worth every dollar. 5/5 Stars.
