Great sound! We tested other like items none had bass like the Bose. Very loud, clear sound. We use it around the pool, and camping. Love it! Bought one for my dad too!

My wife bought a Bose Soundlink speaker for each of our two sons-in-law for Christmas. When she got them home, she asked if I would like to get one for my office (since they were on sale at the time). I first said no, then found myself in our local Best Buy store a week later, and I looked at them. I decided to get one to try it out, and WOW!!!! This thing is incredible! I am a professional musician, and very critical of sound devices, but this thing blows my mind. The bass is super clear, and the mids and highs are crisp. I literally carry it around with me from room to room like a kid carries a new toy. I love it!!!

It's Bose. What else is there to say? Great sound, bass is unbelievable for such a small speaker. Easy to connect to devices.

Great sound in small compact speaker. I love how I can take outside on the patio n it plays for hours! No batteries and stays charged. Bluetooth capabilities are awesome.

Pros: Speaker has good sound, accurate battery life listed (8 hours when fully charged) and decent volume range with minimal distortion when turned up. Cons: Additional protective case to maintain product exterior is nearly 25% of the speaker cost itself. Bass is minimal (but not why I personally bought it for anyway).

The Bose Soundlink Color is a very good BT speaker, if you can forgive a couple of omisions. I also own the Logitech UE Mini Boom, so I can compare it to that model. The sound on the Bose is very good and better than the UE, since the Bose creates more bass, but the sound on the Bose also seems more uni-directional than the UE. Both speakers recharge using a standard micro USB cable, and the Bose includes a nice collapsible AC charger that is very portable. You don't neccesarily need to take it with you though since the speaker will recharge from just about any AC-to-USB adapter, or a USB port on your PC. One more knock against the Bose is that it does not have speakerphone capability, something the UE does have. For that and the fact that they charge an extra $25 to get a neoprene case (which for the price should just be included), I give it a solid 4 stars.

Other family members had larger Bose Bluetooth speakers, and I loved the sound and portability, but I didn't want to pay $200. When I saw the SoundLink Color on sale just before Christmas, I knew I had to buy it. I needed something to give me sound in the kitchen while cooking throughout the holidays (music on iPhone, movies and shows on MacBook Pro), and it was wonderful. I use it all the time now. The only downside is that connecting back and forth between different devices can be confusing and uncertain at times. And there is no troubleshooting info - you are on your own to figure out whether you are doing something wrong, the device is being slow, etc. Also, I was watching a show, and mid-way the sound became intermittent. I had to figure out on my own after some time and frustration that two devices were connected to the speaker at the same time. But these problems only happened once or twice, and once I learned (without the help of Bose), everything was fine. If Bose offered basic Troubleshooting info with the package, I would have rated this product with 5 stars.

This is a small speaker with great sound quality, it may not blow you away with super high volume but it is very clear and still gets fairly loud for the size.

I LOVE this speaker!!!! It's so easy to use and the sound is AMAZING and so clear! The battery also lasts a long time without having to charge it all the time.

This is just the right size and so very powerful! The sound is rich and the bluetooth picks up anywhere in the house! I couldn't have made a better purchase!

Purchased as a gift for my father. He's not super tech savy but found this very easy to use and loves the sound and small amount of space this speaker takes up.

I am really enjoying the fabulous sound quality. It is easy to carry to rehearsals and performances. I like that it can be used without an electrical outlet.

This is what I consider ultra portable Bose sound quality. Make sure to place the speaker against a wall or in a corner to get the best surround type sound. This thing seriously sounds awesome. I only get out my big Bose now if I really really need that extra volume. I haven't heard the speaker above this one, however, the size of this Bose sound link just seals he deal.
