Note that I do use a pair of these, in their stereo mode, and this works exceptionally well in my outdoor space. Hoping that they can last with the exposure to our moisture-filled environment here.

You can also connect with an audio cable through the aux jack which is nice if you have an older model iPod. I would have preferred a regular charging cable vs. the USB charger. But I can see the upside of this because the USB charger will allow you to charge the speaker in a car which makes it a good product to take on the road or camping.
