It would not do well in a party setting without some units linked. I am told linking can be done but one has to call for instructions since the multiple language "instruction" sheet is way too basic. The symbols could be more pronounced for quick usage when turning the volume down or up.

Sounds great for the size

The outer cover didn't line up the with the charging port so the micro-USB wouldn't seat properly. Best Buy gave me a replacement and I've had no issues with the new one. Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.

You will need more than one for true stereo sound. I've bought much smaller & cheaper Bluetooth speakers that had about the same sound quality.
