Bought this as a Deal of the Day and was excited to try it out. It finally arrived....and disappointment set in. It wasn’t anywhere near as loud as I thought it would be. I had just bought a “10 inch ball shaped speaker” that was a lot louder. It didn’t throw the sound around the room very well either. From Bose, I expected better.expected better.

I will admit, I have never owned a Bose product despite knowing about them for several years through their commercials, outlet stores, various product demos in Best Buy and other retailers, and word of mouth from neighbors and friends as to how much they love Bose. I have always owned audio products from the likes of Sony, Klipsch, Sennheiser, and Audio-Technica. That is now no longer the case, as I have been given the opportunity to review their newest SoundLink Color II speaker. I am quite impressed by how rich the sound quality of the speaker is. Bass tones are crisp and not overpowering, vocals are clean and there is no distortion whatsoever. I listened a wide variety of genres on this speaker and mainly believe it excels best when listening to acoustic music. I usually expect this kind of quality from larger stereo speakers like the ones I use for my computer desk. I love, love, LOVE the silicon-rubber-like material they used, and the light blue color allows the speaker to "pop" and give any boring workspace a touch of fun. Battery life is pretty impressive, and since I have started using this speaker I have yet to require recharging. What I love best is that as soon as you power on the SoundLink Color II, it pairs to your smartphone almost immediately. In the many years of me using Bluetooth technology I have never seen such speedy pairing ability. Bravo!!! I am glad that I finally have had the opportunity to personally own and enjoy a Bose product and will be making a serious consideration of their other products whenever the need arises.

We like the convenience of the speaker. For some reason it disconnects every time we use it. Not sure if its a wifi issue on our end. We have wifi through cable. If its a speaker issue then we would not recommend this speaker. If it's an issue on our end through cable, then we would recommend this speaker.
