It does a great job of filling our rooms with distortion free music at all volume levels. Operating the speaker is easy thanks to the helpful voice prompts and intuitive button icons and status lights. I was able to pair it quickly and easily with my Android smartphone using the NFC "tap to connect" feature. One touch between the back of my phone and the top of the speaker and I was ready to go. No buttons or settings menus to mess with. We also paired the SoundLink Color II with an iPhone in our household that doesn't have the "tap to connect" technology, It was still very easy to do using the phone's built-in Bluetooth menu. On both phones, we also tried using the Bose Connect software, which provides a few additional settings, but is not required for use, and didn't really seem to be particularly useful. It's great that the speaker remembers multiple audio sources, so you can switch back and forth between a phone, a computer, an MP3 player. The SoundLink Color II has a sturdy feel and a rubberized soft-touch finish that feels high quality. There are no rattling parts, loose seams, or any other visual defects. So far we've mostly used it in rooms around our home, but it's small and portable enough to take along when we travel or get together with friends.
