Great sound!! Not that great of battery life though.

Speaker has above-average sound, but battery stopped charging after 1.5 years. Bose’s website states the speaker needs a software update but how can we update it if the battery won’t charge?!

Given to my son for Christmas. It quit working in May. Sounded great up til it quit. Will be returning. Bose used to be awesome. We will replace this speaker with a different brand.

Decent sound for the price. Easy to setup and get started.

Would be nice if it could be a little bit louder at its high end volume.

Sound quality not as good as the small sound bar, still able to use

It is nice for small room. Easy to install and my daughter likes it a lot.

Pile of junk. Had the previous model. Had an occasional issue with charging. If the unit went completely dead, it was difficult to get it to power back on. Well, I should have taken that as an omen. This one died, and will not re-charge, or power back up. Save yourself some grief, and buy something else. There are dozens of other options, and most are cheaper anyway.

Bass is a little "boomy," but for the price, it sounds great. Easy to set up.

I use my speaker when I'm working on the yard and Bluetooth has good range.

Can’t geat far from the speaker with phone. Wish it was WiFi.

I have naturally been drawn to Bose audio products for their ability to create balanced, high-fidelity sound at most volume levels, and the SoundLink Color II continues to meet my expectations. SOUND I used the speaker with an iPhone 6s Plus with no special equalization, and it sounded terrific at middle and high volumes. At lower volumes, it still did great. The middle and high tones blended well with the bass, but they diminished a tiny bit at lower volumes. Bass was warm and not overpowering (and I appreciate that). I've used it for music, video, and even a conference call. A couple of times, I have noticed the slightest bit of distortion at even mid-level volume. I did the troubleshooting, and it didn't fix the issue. For perspective, I noticed this in perhaps one out of fifty songs, so it's possible it was simply the song's production issue. iOS APP (version 4.1) I really like the app. It has a simple and clean design that is easy to navigate. The settings are straightforward. The app offer integration with the iPhone's Battery widget in the Notification Center so it's easy to check on the battery. When I connected the speaker with my phone, the app began a lengthy update process. It took more than an hour to prepare it for some reason, but it allowed me to use the speaker until it actually started updating it. And that didn't take very long. PERFORMANCE Pairing using the smartphone app was a breeze, and the voice announced the device(s) to which it is connected along with the battery charge level. Connections to my phone were quick, and audio was perfectly synchronized with videos. And I used this speaker a lot and never got a prompt to recharge the battery. It's very convenient. BUILD The speaker is about 5 inches wide and tall and 2 inches deep. It's not heavy, but there is a pleasant heft that keeps it planted where you place it. It does not vibrate during use even when it's loud. Tweeters are on the front, and the bass is on the back. The side has a micro USB for charging along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The outer shell is shock absorbent, but it's not plush. The texture of the silicon skin makes it easy to have a confident grip on the speaker. I did not do a drop test, but my guess is this speaker could easily survive a table-height fall. SUBJECTIVE REMARKS I really like the SoundLink Color II, and I can easily recommend it. It might not be perfect or cheap, but I feel it offers a compelling value compared to its competition.

purchased this speaker for my 15 year old neice. she loves it and plays music from her phone all the time. unfortunately this speaker gets 2 stars cause the music she listens to sounds like s*** so all i've heard come out of it sounds terrible.

The name brand had me thinking it was a great product. Sound a little low

TBH I wasn’t impressed by the sound. No ambience effect, sound too bold and lack of brightness. Battery life on the short side. I returned it and bought a Marshall.

Great color, for a Bose speaker it could sound better. It makes an annoying beep sound constantly when charging. I returned it because of the beeping .
