Works great. But you need good light to work the "buttons".

A little disappointed in the quality of sound this has. Being a Bose product I expected a better sound. It is okay just not great. When I think Bose I think high quality, great sound. This item does not live up to that.

Sounds seems somewhat muted due to rubber coating.

READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. LIFE SPAN IS POOR. Bought mine in July 2020. Stopped charging and turning on in Fall of 2021. Tried all the resets, new cords, etc. This is a reoccurring problem with this speaker. If you do buy wait a year before reviewing

I purchased this a few weeks ago its pretty good only downfall so far is that it will not let me use another charger to charge for example a wall charger or car charger you can only charge it with the cable it came with.

The quality of this unit and its sound are as high as you'd expect from a Bose product. This is the second generation Soundlink Color that adds NFC (tap another NFC device to it and you’re paired) and a microphone/speakerphone (can answer phone calls by pressing the multifunction unit on the speaker). The unit is 5.25 inches tall and 1.25 lbs - not too small or big and not too light or heavy. It's almost entirely wrapped in smooth non-slip silicone which helps make it water resistant and durable against scratches/damage. I would have preferred the buttons to have been more delineated rather than hidden under the silicone cover but they do respond with a solid click when pressed. The bluetooth connectivity is solid beyond the prescribed 30 foot rated range - even through walls. Battery takes 3 hours to fully charge and lasts 8 hours if used continuously. The unit can be powered from your phone and powers down automatically (while you can set the preferred wait time on your phone app - i would have preferred the added ability to immediately power down the unit from the phone). The speaker can maintain its remaining charge for days. The sound quality is impressively strong and fills the room. I found placing it next to a wall makes it sound even better. The music doesn't distort even when you set the volume to max. Because of its portability (no wires + impressive connection reach) and strong and clear sound quality, here are the different ways i've used the Bose Soundlink Color 2: - I've used the auxiliary port to connect it to my Echo device and streamed my Amazon music mixes as well as bantered with Alexa. - i placed it behind me on the couch and watched a movie on my iPad (felt almost like i was emerged in a surround sound theatre) - I used it heavily in my backyard and garage and all over the house (I've been placing it in the bathroom when i take showers and get ready for work in the mornings) - i plan to take it to picnics and pool side this summer. I'm very pleased with this unit and do recommend it over alternative portable bluetooth speakers.

The sound of a Bose cannot be compared. It is outstanding. However, for whatever reason, I needed to return item twice because it would just go dead and not take charge. For that, I replaced it with a different brand.

First off, I would like to say that this speaker is perfect for its category. It is the perfect outside, patio projection speaker that I have heard. This review will be broken into four different parts, being Design, Sound Quality, Ease of Use, and Durability. 1. Design: The design of this particular product is made for a diverse listening atmosphere. The sleek design makes it easy to place anywhere, whether it be outside, in the house, or on the go in the car. The colors offer a wide variety of design for any desire one might have for a colorful speaker. 2. Sound Quality: The Sound quality of the speaker is excellent, clear and crisp audio. Compared to the new Revolve speaker, it has very similar audio, however it is not projected at 360 degree sound like the Revolve speaker. The low end bass is excellent as well and can be felt when holding the speaker. Even though the bass is powerful, it is not overwhelming. 3. Ease of Use: Out of the box the speaker needs to be charged up, and connected to a smartphone or other Bluetooth compatible device. It is very simple to set up, and connects right away. The battery life of the speaker is excellent, however, it does not give the specific battery life when turning on. This is one critique I have about the speaker. (Ex. "Battery High, connected to iPhone" rather than "Battery 90%, connected to iPhone.) Other than this, it is very easy to use and offers a great, easy Bose speaker experience. 4. Durability: Although I have not purposefully dropped or abused this device, its intelligent design and strong build have left me with no worries if I were to accidentally drop the speaker. I completely trust taking this on the go, or simply leaving it in one area to project excellent sound. OVERALL THOUGHT: This speaker offers fantastic sound and a great listening experience. For the price that it is offered at, it is an unbeatable speaker for anywhere you would need to go to enjoy listening. Great sound quality and diverse colors make this one of the best speakers I have listened to by Bose Corporation.

Great sound, could not keep connected to Bluetooth, much less synch for stereo between two speakers.

Had to return it. Salesperson said it would connect with my receiver and also sold me an adapter for the purpose. But when Geek squad arrived, they worked on it for an hour and determined that it will not connect to my Bluetooth receiver. Only to something like a smart phone. Same sales person incorrectly told me that a Sonos speaker would not connect to my receiver unless I bought a $350 adapter. Geek Squad person said it would have connected just fine without the adapter. I ended up getting some old speakers from my basement and running wires through the crawl space to use them as remote speakers.

I have always loved bose and finally treated myself.
