    After hooking thos speaker up to my tv is just didn't get loud enough for me so I returned it and got a sound bar

    I've had it with portable bluetooth speakers. I haven't found any that last longer than maybe an hour or two, and this one is no exception. On the plus side it sounds good.

    We were pairing it with an Echo Dot(3rd Gen). I expected easier setup. Once I got it setup and understood how it worked, things were OK. I am greatly disappointed in the quality of the sound. That was why I went with Bose

On the device, please try setting the EQ to "off" or "flat" and disabling any other sound playback adjustments (i.e., loudness, compression, reverb, etc.).     Battery... I bought two of the speakers and both of them had to be returned because the battery would not charge I like the color I like the sound but it will not let you know I couldn’t keep it because it would not keep a charge so I had to return it the both of them

    For it to be my first Bose speaker I was very disappointed. It wasn’t loud and it kept the sound as if it was in a box.

    Not the power and volume I expected. Instead of blue tooth connecting to Apple TV when turning on, it has to be done manually. Not what I expected from Bose product

    I didn't think I could be wowed this much by a speaker... I was wrong. For a Bluetooth speaker, I wasn't expecting much, as I have had some decent experience with them in the past, but this little speaker sounds much bigger than it looks. I am amazed by how loud it gets, the battery life is extremely long, and it doesn't drop out by moving my phone 20 feet away. When I turn it on, it tells me what devices are connected to it (I've only connected two up to now). Knowing it is Bose, I had an idea I might get a little better quality sound from what I've been used to, but I still can't get over how surprised I was. I'll definitely be recommending this speaker to my friends and family!

    -2 star because sometimes when battery fully drains it wont turn back on and you have to scour the internet on how to fix the dang thing again...

    I don’t recommend this product… The sound is great but it’s got six buttons that control the speaker on top… They don’t work well and there is no directions on what each one of them does… Can’t tell if it’s charged or not… Very inconvenient I’m taking mine back… Sounds great… But not user-friendly… A real pain to use

    I was disappointed by the sound. I felt being that it is Bose I would be blown away with sound quality but I was wrong. For the price it was not worth it. Had to return it for something else

    I received this as a gift. When I tried to pair it with my Alexa, it wouldn't work. I spent two or three hours trying to get it paired, and it just wouldn't work.

      Thanks for reviewing our Soundlink Color II.
      This system can be paired via Bluetooth to an Alexa system, and the audio from the Alexa system would instead play through the Bose speaker.
      In this instance, we would implore that you reach out to tech support in your region to try and assist you to get this running to your preference!

    Absolutely love this blue tooth speaker! I’ve had it for years and it’s still my favorite. The sound quality and battery life is amazing. On top of that it’s splashproof which I love.

    It seems like the sound quality isn't as good as the previous speaker I had which was the same model but bought about 5 years ago.

      Hello, the Soundlink Color II has Bluetooth 4.2 and uses two 40 mm dual opposing passive radiators to help pump out sound, while keeping vibrations to a minimum. We always aim for the highest quality products, so it is unusual to hear that you feel the sound quality is not as good.

    Quality not very good to be Bose had to return this because of the static in it and when pairing it with The Bose 500 speaker it made that speaker sound weird..

      I'm sorry to hear you experienced unusual static when pairing it with a 500 speaker. It's possible the pairing was corrupt so to remedy this in future, I recommend unpairing it, then establish a new connection. You can also check if the speaker is working correctly by pairing with other smartphones, tablets or other Bluetooth media devices.

    bluetooth connection is dropping every 5 minutes

    just got soundlink bluetooth speaker II. The sound is good, but the bluetooth connection is dropping every five minutes. I googled the issue and seems to be a common problem with response from the company that we should try to update the firmware. The unit is new so I don't see how an update would fix anything. Very disappointing

      When the speakers are sold, they may not have the most recent firmware version. This is because, between manufacture and purchase, a new update may have been released. Therefore, we would recommend updating. This will help with your issue.

    I must say I am a bit disappointed with Bose this go around. The volume was not as loud as I wanted and the quality of the sound is very choppy.

      Firstly we would recommend that you ensure that the speaker is running the latest software via connecting the speaker to a PC and visiting Btu.bose.com as well as performing a reset on the speaker by powering the speaker on and pressing and holding the Power button for 10 seconds until the Bluetooth LED blinks blue.

    good sound, not enough battery life

    would like this to recharge on a charger base instead of plugging in a cord. Usually have to recharge 2 times in a normal day. The mute works ok but it takes awhile to unmute.

    only lasted two years, tried to charge it and it wouldn't I also tried different cords, but none of them worked. I thought it was the outlet...nope. battery life could be better, the sound is good but not great,
