Posted .Hello, the Soundlink Color has an in-built battery which can last upto 8 hours at a typical listening volume for wireless listening.
It also has Bluetooth 4.2 with a connection range of upto 33 feet (10 metres)

Posted .Thank you for reaching out for help with your Color speaker. If the speaker is not charging, there are some troubleshooting suggestions that we have for you. Let's try putting the speaker back into ship mode:
Connect the speaker to power
Press and hold the Multi-function button for 10 seconds
While continuing to hold the Multi-function button, unplug the speaker from power
Release the Multi-function button
That charging cable is very popular for use with non-Apple phones/tablets as well as many digital cameras. Let's try another cable as well.
