It Has Some Significant Features That The Original Soundlink Flex Didn't Have Mainly It's Own Equalizer In The Bose App Which Greatly Improves Its Overall Sound Signiture To Your Preference.     This is a nice speaker its pretty loud for the size and I love that you can buy more than one and connect them all together. I traveled out of the country with mines no problem! No battery issues or connection problems.
