Having one SoundLink Flex makes for a good casual listening experience, but two linked in stereo mode is a must if you are focusing on the music and bordering on audiophile pickiness. I have a Marshall Action III that has a very good sound (only at higher volumes.... it has a buzzing noise floor that I can hear and bugs the heck out of me at volumes below the 5 setting), but it is very directional dependent. With two SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) speakers linked in stereo mode, you will get excellent sound and more immersive experience. Glad to see that Bose went up the Bluetooth codec scale on the Gen 2. Won't get that with the Acton III. I use that in Aux mode. The price of two SoundLink Flex speakers is less than the price of the Acton III.

I’ve bought two Bose speakers. One for me and one for my mother-in-law I love the sound quality if you’re into base there is a solid punch, so I don’t recommend going to the JBL‘s and those other companies very solid speaker also on Amazon I found a protector that goes around it. I’m a semi driver so lug it around with me. On a full charge I drove from Kentucky back to Minooka on it. That’s about a 5 Hour Drive and it still had juice

This is a great sounding speaker, I have two of them now and when connected together , the sound is amazing. The app on my iPhone is easy to use. Even has a EQ to adjust sound to your taste. Great buy, highly recommend this product

Yes, this speaker does music great. It gets loud, the eq makes it extremely customizable, its super rugged and durable AND waterproof, and its got really good battery life. Having put this speaker through everything, I can confidently say that its #1 best use is for podcasts. If youre someone who likes to set this speaker down and listen to podcasts, stand up comedy, or just youtube videos, this is absolutely a 100/10 speaker. The mids and voices are extremely loud and clear. Especially when you use the bose app to turn the bass down slightly. Its amazing to fill your space with vocals even at its tiny size. Yes its amazing for music but I believe anything with an emphasis on human speech is just perfect for the bose soundlink flex.

The speaker itself I feel is good design, good quality, but lacks in some simple ways. First, the charging port I feel should have a cover so debris, water, etc. could be kept out. Second the first generation and second generation speakers do not pair together. I feel this should’ve been addressed so all Bose products would be compatible together. Third support from Bose has been terrible. if you do get in touch with somebody no help walking you through any type of problem, and don’t bother to try to make a purchase from Bose directly. My advice if you buy a Bose product buy it through Best Buy.
