It serves the purpose of providing sound with my iPad. Bose could provide a digital battery gauge. It’s more specific at how much battery power remains.

Not as pristine sound

If you use the App you can adjust your favorite setting in the equalizer. For a more intense sound, buy 2 speakers, pair them into stereo mode and have a designated left and right channel for your hand held device.
