Only issue is that sometimes when there's a lot going on you can hear how the vocals or any other instrument gets toned down making you feel like you are pressing volume down somehow. Other than that, really solid.

It’s easy to set up and pair using Bluetooth but you will have to download the newer version of the Bose App as it’s not compatible with the older version.

Comparing SoundLink 1st Gen to 2nd Gen

Just got the 2nd Gen, and thanks to the new equalizer feature, it sounds even better! I wish the two could be used together in stereo mode but that’s only possible if both are 2nd Generation.

Sound quality is BOSE spot on...however it's not a pair of 901's from back in the day! Takes some adjusting to that "One Speaker Dimension"...especially when just chillin' at home.

I’m not sure how Bose does it but this thing sounds incredible. It blew the other speaker away. The sounds is very enjoyable and full. The low end is clean and balanced. Overall it’s a pleasing sounds that is not fatiguing to listen to for hours. And the battery lasts a long time!
