The sound is amazing. My only issues are design and programming flaws. The buttons are indented, all joined together and smooth so they’re hard to press for anyone with nails, and you can’t press them in the dark. It doesn’t stand up well on anything other than a hard, flat surface. Mostly, I hate that you can’t power it off with the app. I don’t like that it continues to make a chime noise every minute rather than auto power off (like it’s programmed to do) if it’s not connected to anything. So for example I use it with my tv at night. If I want to go to sleep I turn my tv off, but the speaker will chime every minute because the Bluetooth disconnected. And rather than it just power off after not being used for 5 mins, it will continue to alarm every min. So I have to physically get up out of bed to turn it off. I want to be able to turn it off in the app or for it to not make a chime noise. But there’s no option for that. There’s an option to turn off the voice in the app but that doesn’t stop the chimes. Kinda frustrating in this day and age.

The Bose SoundLink Bluetooth Speaker is ideal for the Church class I teaching. We pick an audiobook book to study, and during Sunday School we play a section of it on my cellphone. Then we discuss what we got out of it. The speaker is loud and with surprising range. Everyone can hear, and it's much simpler than streaming to a TV in the room. An excellent tool for classes.

This has excellent sound quality for both podcasts and music. The battery life is decent.

For the most part, it is an excellent speaker. Points off for the Bose app. Why can’t they use just one application for all of their Bluetooth products. Small but powerful speaker for small areas. There is a little bit of shake in the frame when the volume gets high. All in all this should be an $85 speaker all the time you are just paying for the Bose name.
