It’s a Bose, so as you might expect it sounds great at low, mid, and full volume.
It’s waterproof, sand / dust proof, and shock proof which I love in a portable speaker. It feels solid and well built. It has a built-in strap that seems durable and lets you clip it to backpack, etc. (clip not included.)
The Bose app is simple to use. It also gives you EQ options with some preset options (Bass Boost, Bass Reducer, Treble Boost, Treble Reducer) and you can manually set Bass, Mid, and Treble up/down 10 each. Personally I think it sounds best at Bass +8 and Mid +2 settings for a deeper sound.
I put it through the paces on every musical genre and most sound great (rock, rap, dance, folk, country, classical, etc.). Bass heavy music I’d love a tad more bass, but that’s difficult to achieve in such a small package. It sounds good whether laying down, upright, or hanging from its strap.
Buttons are easy to use and intuitive including a configurable shortcut button (Link mode/party mode for combining with another Bose SoundLink Flex, Access with Voice Assistant, and Spotify) It has multi point connection to connect with 2 different BT source devices.
Battery life is rated at a solid 12 hours, but likely depends on the volume you’re jamming out at. Charging is thankfully USB-C.
It weighs about 1.5 pounds so it’s light, but not a featherweight.
Overall a solid, rugged, great sounding portable speaker.

The Soundlink Flex II is another quality product in Bose’s lineup. It’s built well with a silicone cover that’s durable, but also soft to the touch and easy to clean. Buttons are well protected and provide nice, tactile feedback with every input. Battery life is good and it charges quickly via USB C. Bose provided a USB C to USB C cable in the box, but no charging brick. Sound quality is good, but generally even across all genres. Seems to be best at ensuring clear vocals. The Bose app does give you some customizability by allowing you to play with EQ settings. The app also allows you to quickly change device connections, customize the speaker’s shortcut button, and access software updates.
Since getting my speaker, I’ve taken it out on the boat and been using it while working on my project car. This single speaker got plenty loud while we were boating. It survived multiple hours in direct sunlight, being tossed around while under way, and being thrown in and out of the water. A full day of use went through about 40% battery at fluctuating volumes. I’m contemplating purchasing a second one and making mounts for them to rest in. We’ll see. The other day I had my speaker with me while I was repainting body panels on my car. Paint and dust makes its way onto just about everything while doing this. I was extremely impressed by how easy it was to clean this speaker off. One disinfecting wipe did it and it looks good as new.
All in all, I am very happy with the Bose Soundlink Flex II. I feel like it’s a good value for a name brand, durable, and portable speaker. As long as it’s the right size for your needs, I’d absolutely recommend it.

The speaker is compact enough to hold in your hand, tuck into your pack, or attach to the outside with its sturdy utility loop. The Flex 2 boasts a 12-hour battery life and an IP67 waterproof rating. With advanced Bluetooth 5.3, it ensures a robust, uninterrupted connection to your device from up to 30 feet away. Multi-point connections allow the speaker to be paired with several devices simultaneously, facilitating easy sharing of DJ responsibilities with friends. A notable addition is the Shortcut button, which provides quick access to various functions, including instant pairing with another speaker. Whether standing upright, laid back, or hung upside down, the SoundLink Flex consistently delivers optimal sound. Bose's PositionIQ technology detects the speaker’s position and adjusts its output for the best performance. Bose speakers are known for their agreeable sound, and the latest SoundLink Flex is no different. It offers clear sound with surprisingly good bass for its size, and the volume can reach impressive levels. Vocals come through clearly, and overall, the audio quality surpasses expectations for a speaker of this size. The accompanying app has been updated recently, allowing EQ adjustments through the Bose app. It also facilitates "SimpleSync" pairing with another compatible Bluetooth speaker. In Stereo Mode, one speaker serves as the right channel and the other as the left, while Party Mode synchronizes two speakers to play the same audio. The Bose SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) Portable Bluetooth Speaker delivers exceptional sound in a compact form, embodying the quality I value and expect to last. It meets all my criteria for a portable speaker, and I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a top-quality small Bluetooth speaker.

I’ve been using the Bose Soundlink Flex II for a little while now, and honestly, it’s quickly become my go-to portable speaker. Right out of the box, the setup was super easy – it connected to my iPhone in seconds, and I was ready to play my music.
For such a small speaker, the sound is amazing! It’s got this rich, deep bass that you wouldn’t expect from something so compact. Whether I’m listening to music or catching up on podcasts, everything sounds crisp and clear. Plus, if you really want to step it up, the Bose app lets you link two of these speakers together for an even bigger sound. Perfect for a small gathering or an outdoor hangout at the park.
Speaking of outdoors, this thing is built with that in mind. It’s both water- and dust-proof, so I don’t have to worry about it getting wet by the pool or dusty when I take it camping. It’s tough and portable, but still stylish enough to leave out in the living room.
All in all, the Bose Soundlink Flex II is a quality speaker with serious punch for its size. If you’re looking for a portable speaker that delivers big on sound and durability, this one’s a winner.

Specs
This is a very durable and portable speaker made by Bose, who really know their audio items. The size is right around 2” x 8” x 3.5”, yet it still produces the best sound across the board of any speaker I own. There are several different modes it can go into, including party and stereo modes, where you can connect two of them at once for a better surround sound by achieving both left and right channels. The battery life is quite long at 12 hours and charges easily with a USB-C cord. Bose also has an app that can be downloaded to control the speaker and tweak the sound.
Pros
Talk about durability! I don’t worry about it too much packed up with my gear because it’s water- and dust-resistant. The small size keeps it portable in most situations and wireless Bluetooth connectivity makes it easy to control. The app has very user-friendly controls but it’s not necessary to use the speaker.
Cons
12 hour battery life is decent, but it takes up to four hours to charge it completely. For someone who usually forgets to plug in their electronics to begin with, this can be a problem. Although it’s durable, I’d also like a carrying case to prevent unnecessary scratches and whatnot from potentially rough traveling conditions.
Conclusion
You can’t beat this sound for this price through Bose; this is an affordable option for those who are sick of the tinny sound portable speakers usually carry. You’ll get clear and powerful sound through any genre of music!

This Bose portable speaker is one of the best portable speaker I ever had . It’s so easy to use, just connect to your Bluetooth device and listen to your favorite music on the go while caring this compact speaker every where you go I even clip it to my backpack. The crystal sound and deep bass of this speaker is amazing just like I was expecting from a Bose product. The battery life last me all day while I care it to the beach without the need of charging it until I’ve got home. This Bose speaker is also dust, waterproof and one cool thing about this speaker, it also floats if you ever drop it in the water, you can also connect another Bose sound link flex speaker with the press of the shortcut on the device to make a stereo sound effect. The speaker can be lay flat, stand up or just hang it anywhere and with the Bose app you can adjust the sound the best way you like for an amazing sound. On the top of the speaker you get the power button, Bluetooth connection button, shortcut to connect more speakers, the play/ pause button and the up- down volume, it also have a built in mic that let you take calls. Using the Bose app helps you monitor the battery life, adjust EQ sounds, adjust volume or change shortcuts to the speaker.

I wasn't totally vlown away with the Bose SounLink Flex portable speakers compared to others I have or have heard. Out of the box it's a solid well built product. Has a usb-c port which is nice and comes with a usb to usb-c cord in case you dont have one.
The silicone wrapped body feels good in the hand and seals it up tight to be dust proof and water proof, it floats very well in the pool. The built in loop is a good touch, I can see many uses down the road for that.
Be sure to download the bose app to be able ro adjust the sound settings, makes a big difference. At first impression I would have dropped a couple stars but I went ahead and purchase a second one to see if two paired together really made a difference and it really did. As one speaker, it's not my favorite, but paired and in stereo they sound amazing. I probably would have dropped to four stars without knowing the potential.
There seems to be a passive subwoofer in the rear of the speaker, so setting it against something solid gets better bass notes out of the speaker.
All in all, its just all right alone. Phone calls were seamless with zero complaints, all genres of music sounded about the same. If you can swing two then go for it, if not then look elsewhere.

The new Bose Soundlink Flex 2 is Bose through and through. The build quality is the equal of the Bose reputation. And the sound quality? Equally impressive.
I have owned a number of Bose products since purchasing a pair of their 901 Direct/Reflecting speakers in the mid-80s. Since then I have owned several of their remarkable headphones (currently on the first Gen of their QC45!) a pair of their excellent AM-5 speakers (with stands) and over the years I have given as presents to friends and family, several models of Bose headphones and Bluetooth speakers.
The Flex looks and sounds like a Bose should. "Bespoke" is a term that has come into favor recently for use in reviews most often typed in "dulcet tones of reverence". The Flex 2 deserves better praise through prose, if you will. As I said, it is undoubtedly a Bose product. First off, it looks like a Bose and as you would expect from Bose, it PLAYS like a Bose.
During my testing the battery lasted on average just over 10.5 hours of constant use. The volume was set at an acceptable "I-am-sitting-right-next-to-it level". The same volume level worked perfectly across a 10' X 15' room. I played it as loud as I could personally take it and there was no shortage of music without annoying distortion brought on by shoddy construction! I then moved to the largest anechoic chamber in my home.
That would be our backyard and here (hear?!) the Flex 2 continued to amaze rather than amuse with its excellent reproduction of the soundtrack of my life. Even acoustic Jazz with relatively deep bass was done well by this small speaker! The range of reception for the Flex 2 in my testing was for up to 40 or so feet (approx.) from its playback source. Using my iPhone as the source resulted in the best reception as my 3 Digital Audio Players are all several years old and as such their Bluetooth versions are far earlier and not nearly as stable at longer distances as the iPhone 14. It should be noted that this is NOT the "fault" of the Bose Soundlink Flex 2 but rather the limits of earlier Bluetooth transmit variants. Still, the signal was received and decoded with nary a real problem and that is something to consider in the real world in which we all live. The Bose Soundlink Flex 2 delivers your music with ease.
I am retired now and as such spend a great deal of my days listening to music and the Flex 2 worked great with either my iPhone 14 or any one of my 3 Digital Audio Players! What more could one ask of a modern Bluetooth Speaker? Answer: Nothing really.
The Bose Flex 2 is a quality built speaker with modern good looks and sound quality that goes beyond the level of just being "loud". But when it comes to satisfying sound this speaker goes to "11".
Highly recommended? Indeed!

Just got my hands on the Bose SoundLink Flex, and honestly, I’m impressed. For something this compact, the sound is way bigger than I expected. The bass hits nicely without overpowering the rest, and the clarity stays sharp even when the volume’s cranked.
One thing I love is how rugged it feels. I’ve already taken it to the beach and tossed it in my bag a few times no scratches, no issues. It’s waterproof and it floats, so I don’t even worry when it’s around water. Perfect for summer hangs.
Battery life has been solid, I’ve gotten around 12 hours out of it without needing a charge. Super easy to pair via Bluetooth, and it stays connected without dropouts.

Amazing, clear sound. I bought this speaker due to its features advertised. It is waterproof like it said. I use a pressure washer to was my car at home. It didn't damage it when the mist got on it. The bass on this speaker is unbelievable. You'd think it was a larger speaker with the sound output. It can fit into your pocket if you want to take it places and dont have a carry case. I would definitely recommend this speaker if you want a small one. You need to download to Bose app to get the best sound settings.

I use this speaker for work! I needed something that would be durable at work without being too difficult to clean (I work at a Starbucks doing a ton of dishes, handling syrups and milk etc etc) and I was intrigued by the exterior because of this. It is extremely easy to wipe down and you get basically almost a weeks worth of use off one charge (I’m not using it all nine hours of the day) but I am for a good chunk of the shifts. The sound quality is amazing and HUGE as I sometimes have to make sure the door is fully closed or else it easily leaks into the lobby, really great base the only thing I’ll say is that the Bose app is a necessity depending on what you’re listening to and where, the EQ app is kinda just the cherry on top to make sure everything sounds excellent.

The Bose SOUNDLINK Flex is a great little speaker for smaller spaces. In the package comes the speaker, charging cable (USB C thankfully), instruction manual and QR code for the Bose App.
After charging for about 4 hours I turned it on and paired it with my phone through the app. The app allows you to easily adjust the speaker audio settings. The app has several tips on how to maximize the speaker and its various uses. There is a shortcut button on the speaker so you can easily link multiple SOUNDLINK speakers together.
I played multiple genres of music both at maximum and mid sound levels. Nothing worse than a speaker that distorts the sound so badly at high levels it is not even worth listening to. The Bose SOUNDLINK FLEX does well at maximum volume levels, especially in a smaller space. My dining room is 15 x20 and it adequately filled the area with sound. It actually did such a good job I took it outside and played it on my patio/deck. Surprisingly it did very well outside in a wide open space. The sound was still full and rich and it was able to compete with any background noise.
I like the design and how the speaker is metal and mostly covered in a silicone substance. The charging port is on the side and does not have a cover, but since it says it is water and dust proof it must be protected from within.
At 2 hours at mid to high volume the battery was still above 50%.
For the price I think this is a great compact speaker.

What is cool that you can link into multiple of these things pretty easy with the link button. You can change that to be google assistant or iphone assistant. Ive dropped this quite a few times already and sound never comprimies. The only con I have is the speaker volume is not the loudest. There are EQ quick sets that make speaker volume louder so bass doesnt over load the speaker. The connection process uses an app so its not a quick bluetooth hook-up and go. However, the app has lots you can change on speaker. Left it out in the rain too and still workes like a charm. BOSE IS GOOD.

The device exhibits commendable battery performance when utilized at approximately 50% capacity or less, providing extended usage for several days with minimal operational hours. Its lightweight design contributes to ease of portability. Furthermore, the audio output, even with maximized bass settings, delivers noticeable sound quality despite the device's compact size.

’m really pleased with my Bose SoundLink speaker! The sound quality is excellent — clear, rich, and surprisingly powerful for its size. Whether I’m listening to music at home or using it outdoors, the audio stays crisp and balanced. The Bluetooth connection is reliable and easy to set up, and the battery life lasts longer than I expected. It’s compact, sleek, and super convenient to carry around. Overall, I love it and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality portable speaker!

Bought this speaker for my son's birthday. He absolutely loves it. The sound quality is excellent, battery life is out of this world, and it being waterproof is even better as this goes in the shower with him on a daily basis. I love the price and quality.

Great sound, compact and easy to use.
A nice neutral color that blends in with most surroundings.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a portable speaker that has great sound.
