Ive never minded it not having the greatest sound fidelity, I just want the sound to be able to travel as far as possible with the least distortion. This was what I would call a perfect middle ground.

Equalizer on Bose app controls bass, mid and treble and is adequate for my ears. As other professional reviews will state, the latest JBL Flip (similar) and Charge (more power) are quite competitive although I can only compare to older JBL Flip 5 and Charge 4 and prefer the sound of the Bose Sounlinks to my old JBLs.

EQ adjustments in the app are also a major bonus. Played side by side with an older UE boom speaker (which had been great and served its purpose) but this was definitely a worthwhile upgrade. Was between the flex 2 and new beats pill 2

Sound quality is BOSE spot on...however it's not a pair of 901's from back in the day! Takes some adjusting to that "One Speaker Dimension"...especially when just chillin' at home.

Plus you can customize the treble & bass through the app. I bought one for my 19 year old daughter a year ago & she uses it all the time. I wanted one for myself. The sound is waaaaay better than the Beats Pill. I have Bose speakers in my car, amazing sound. Especially if you like bass.
