Easily the best balance of sound quality, dynamic range and volume that can be found in such a portable package. Build quality is solid enough to absorb being bounced around all day on an ATV and so far has proven stable pulling 10 hour daily shifts out in Mojave Desert summer and winter temp extremes. (23F-118F). When the dust gets too much, literally just put the Flex under a faucet and wipe it down! Keep the volume around 50% and getting 8-10 hours of play is doable, For longer shifts and higher volumes I simply plug in the speaker to charge while playing. (A small 38WH power bank will charge the Bose Flex twice over.) Bluetooth connectivity is solid to about 30' tied to a Samsung Galaxy Z4 Flip and clear line of sight. Metal obstructions/thick barriers can cut this is half. Occasionally the Bluetooth will start "hiccuping" where the sound will drop for about a second out of every 20-30 seconds but turning Bluetooth off and on has solved the problem each time. Overall a solid buy.

Loved this Bluetooth speaker! I have one Bose speaker for more than 10 years, but this one is not wireless, so I bought this version to have a portable one. The sound quality it really good and in my opinion better than JBL. Battery is very durable. I use it for training and listen to music at my home or external area. The design is really nice as well. Only thing is that in order to connect you need to download the Bose app and sync to your phone or any other device. It requires a WiFi connection. I wonder if in an external area without network it would work ok.

I live in a townhouse and when you live in a townhouse you obviously share a wall with your next door neighbor. I wanted to be respectful to my next door neighbors with the TV that I have in my master bedroom that is near the wall that I share with my next door neighbors. I wanted to be able to watch TV in bed if I wanted to later at night but didn't want to have to blast the built-in TV speakers just to be able to hear the TV (the TV is about nine feet away from where my bed is). Since my TV is a brand new one (Samsung QLED Q60D 32") it is Bluetooth capable/ready. So I shopped around and researched out Bluetooth speakers. I will be honest and say that I really wanted to get a Sonos brand Bluetooth speaker but the Best Buy I was at told me that they were completely out of stock, so I went with the Bose as my back-up. I was disappointed to see that it did not come with a wall charger (I had to go back to Best Buy and get a Belkin USB-A to USB-C wall charger adapter). It did come with the USB-A to USB-C charging cable though. Why they just didn't make the cable all USB-C is beyond me. Anyway, Once I purchased the wall adapter charging block and plugged it in and charged up the speaker all was well. The next day I paired it up with my iPhone 14, and my new TV, the Samsung QLED Q60D 32" TV. The speaker works great!! I freaking love it!! It sounds phenominal for a Bluetooth speaker. I am a Bose person and I have their 3-2-1 system on my older TV. I love this speaker so far (I just bought it less than two weeks ago). One thing I did notice is when you fully charge it and you turn it on, it says that it is charged to 90%. That kind of made me say "what the ___? So, my particular speaker doesn't seem to charge to 100% and if it does, it loses 10% of the charge in less than 24 hours. I'm thinking that it only charges to 90% max but I could be wrong. The sound quality is great. I personally love it and the price was also right. I would recommend this speaker. It's portable too so you can really take it anywhere. and if you do, bring your charging stuff too.

I’m really pleased with this speaker, especially considering the reasonable price. It looks really nice, light & easy to tote around with me around the house & outside to the patio. The sound quality is great. I’m sure there are others out there with better sound, but better than expected.

Amazing little speaker - sound is great, how can something so small have sub bass sounds? As a musician I’m extremely picky on sound quality. From the store demo to the golf course to the patio to work trips in hotel rooms this baby gives it. I also love love love the thought put into from Bose that when you turn it on it tells you battery life percentage and what device it’s connected to quickly. How simple but needed is that? Every BT device should do that honestly.

Best small speaker. It has room filling sound. I can’t figure out how they get this much sound out of such a small flat speaker. I’ve never been a Bose fan - but this speaker is amazing. I’m def buying another one because we all fight over it. It’s so easy to travel with and pack and hang on anything with the included loop. Massive sound from a little speaker. This replaces my megaboom in what I bring on trips now. I own 8 different Bluetooth speakers and this one is very nice and in my top three. Haven’t really tested any claims of water resistance but I didn’t buy it to go tubing with like my some other speakers. This one is more refined and just nice and nice sounding. Massive range also. Not like Sony Bluetooth speakers. This is like 100’ range or more.

This Red one was gift. However, my husband and I have the blue & black ones. Great speaker for his shop or back-up speaker in his radio-less vehicle. I love mine out on the golf course (single or party mode). We also used them while flipping a house without problems; even in the dustiest conditions. My husband’s even took a tumble and it didn’t phase his speaker. And finally, who doesn’t love the sound of a Bose! Great bang for your buck. You won’t regret it. This is the best BlueTooth speaker I have had. I prefer it over my friend’s JBL, it’s such a close call-choose your favorite brand at that point. But I feel the clarity is clearer on the Bose.

We have always loved Bose products. We needed something for the camper outside while cooking or just relaxing and this speaker is a great fit. Superior sound that we have come to expect from Bose and the sound carries just enough to cover our campsite without being intrusive to others (I think!) super portable and holds a good charge.

So glad I waited for this speaker! It has it all portable, water/dirt proof and over all an amazing sound. I got mine in white and a few days later went back and got my mom one. She loves it. Especially when that low base kicks in, man you can almost feel it.

I originally purchased ONE of these as a gift for someone. After hearing it, the decision was done: I needed a PAIR for myself. I myself am a pretty discerning audiophile. Home setup consists of Martin Logan SL3's, Rotel, bi-amplification and active crossovers. Never would I have imagined myself owning something with the Bose name on it. Granted, these are no audiophile speakers... but for something you can literally stick in your laptop bag? And if you purchase TWO of these, they can be linked together for full stereo-mode. Placing each about 2 or 3 feet away about ear-level on each side will net sound you typically expect from small bookshelf speakers - no kidding. Bass response: very good down to about 55hz or so. Rolls off like a rock below that. Not that you can blame them, these are only sporting tiny (2"??) drivers. The bass certainly fills a small-to-mid size room (especially with two of these in stereo mode). The bass IS a little over-emphasized, but this is most likely intentional to give such tiny speakers a "larger than life" sound. Mid-range.. Nothing to write home about, but decent enough to leave voices very clear. At times, the mid-range sounds a tad muted, but this is likely due to the fact bass and treble (will explain next) are both a tad over-emphasized. Trebble... just like the bass, a tad bright in the 8-12k region - but not to the point of hurting your ears or sounding awful. It rolls off pretty sharp by 14k-15k or so. Overall, still plenty to give a very clear and pleasant sound. These little guys do NOT offer any eq adjustment (bass/treble/etc). The settings are internally set and what you get is what you get. But again, they are factory set to give bass and trebble just enough that it really makes these tiny speakers jump out at you sometimes. If you purchase 2 of these, they can be linked together into a "Stereo Mode". When placed correctly, it is surprising just how much of a soundstage they can actually throw at you. It is evident that Bose does some heavy signal correction to compensate for the tiny drivers, enclosure, etc. This is more noticable at higher levels. At lower levels, just a warm sound that - while not 100% tonally correct - is VERY enjoyable to listen to. Another plus is: each is a single tiny active driver and TWO passive radiators - one front and one rear. As a result, when placed properly on your desk or small listening space - you get a bit of a bipolar dispersion which gives them an "airy" sound that (again) is quite pleasant. Build quality wise, these are truly built to last. Not the typical cheap plastic garbage a lot of the other Bose stuff has been known for. Front is powder-coated metal and entire back is a thick rubber coated aluminum housing. Picking one up certainly gives you the feeling of a quality-built product. Yeah, there are plenty of good quality bookshelf speakers out there that can out-perform these. But for something that fits in your laptop bag? You would have a hard time finding anything that comes close to comparing. And considering these are just $150 each, this is a true steal. I also have a Viewsonic M1 mirco-projector and use these speakers when I am out-and-about and want to watch a movie. A 100" screen WITH good stereo sound in a package that fits in your glovebox? Truly amazing. Ease-of-use: they are about average. The buttons are a bit hard to press at times, and the app kind of sucks. The App is NOT needed, however (I prefer NOT to use it). The most annoying part is: once you link two of these together into "Stereo Mode", they will be un-linked after they are powered off or go to sleep (inactivity). So every time you power them back on, you must re-link them. Kinda sucks, but not too bad. Again, these are no B&W, Keff, Martin Logan, etc. But for something battery powered that fits in the laptop bag (or travel bag, purse, etc)... They have got to be one of the best deals for the money.
