I purchased 2 of these on a whim, after making sure they would work as a stereo pair. The sound from these fairly small speakers is truly surprising, there is an app, but to be honest, it isn't absolutely necessary, except for the occasional firmware update, all of the other functions are accessable from the buttons on the device itself. They do work as a stereo pair, and they really shine as a stereo pair. The pairing function can be kind of hit or miss at times, (this is true for all of the Bose Bluetooth speakers, not just this model) but once paired the connection is typically very stable and solid. The best way I can put it is I would definitely buy these again and I would also happily buy them as a gift for any music lover.

Bose never fails to deliver. This speaker is loud, clear highs, strong bass… everything I was hoping for. I use it in the shower, all around the house, etc. I really am impressed with it.
