This thing is a battery hog. I am getting about 2 to 3 hours max battery life even at moderate volume. The sound is very bass heavy and muddled mid range. Overall given the sound, battery performance, and brand name i am highly disappointed in the quality of the product.

I expected a better sound quality. It’s ok, but not amazing like I thought for the brand name.

I am proud cheap, budget conscious, pragmatic shopper. I was looking for a Bluetooth speaker despite owning a JBL clip for my bike, JBL Vibe Beam, ear buds, 2 Pathfinder Charger speakers for large parties, Notabrick Kibe, and Jam Classic 2.0. (grandson's speaker). Bottom line: I didn’t NEED an other speaker, yet there I was cruising the bluetooth speakers at the electronics store “killing time”. I had heard the Bose Flex Soundlink in the gym and was really impressed with the sound, but not the price. So I started to compare the speakers and gave the sound edge to the Bose, but the comparable speakers were less expensive, if bulkier. Then a mid-Summer sale had them at $50 off and I pulled the trigger. I was so financially disappointed when a big box store had it $70 off a few weeks later. After hearing the first one I couldn’t resist. I bit. This speaker is exceptionally good - I had to have it. I had to hear them in party mode. While it won’t replace the Pathfinders for the big parties, In party mode, they could serve as the stereo speakers for the man cave or home office with room to spare. The sound these speakers generate is powerful, clear, heavy and light. The sound profile changes when the speaker is put in different positions. To my ear, they sound best sitting flat. Yeah there’s no tweaking the sound through equalizer (Hey Bose stop farting around and add an EQ function on the app), but it really isn’t an issue. They are easily the best sounding set of speakers to this frugal ear, with $120 in my pocket! PLEASE NOTE: To pair 2 speakers to each other: Connect one speaker to a source, then On the speaker connected to a source, press the bluetooth and volume up button simultaneously. The speaker will signal it is connecting mode and instruct you how to complete the connection with the other speaker. To complete the connection with the other speaker, on the second speaker, press the volume down and the bluetooth simultaneously until the speaker indicates they are in party mode. To put them in stereo mode, you will need to use the App.

The form factor of the Bose Flex is unique. I have to believe the flatter, wider speaker allows better sound development than the tried and true cylinder of most portable Bluetooth speakers. When laid flat on a surface, the sound coming from the bottom side is amplified by the surface, has a great bass sub woofer effect, and of course the top side emits deep rich Bose sound. We have several other brands of Bluetooth portables, and the Flex shames them for clarity and pure sound. The Bose app focuses on connectivity instead of gimmicky sound effects and enhancements. No bass boost or house lights are needed here. The speaker just sounds good and clear. I played with some of the EQ settings on my phone too, and none made a good difference. The native sound from the speaker is room-filling and not distorted by increased volume. One thing of note—I do not find this to be a speaker I’d carry on a hike or stroll, despite the “carry strap”. Carrying it room to room, poolside, or on a trip makes sense, but it’s a bit heavy for grabbing and going.

Wouldn't connect to my laptop so I returned it the same day & traded for aJBL Charge 5.

I did a fair amount of homework before deciding to get this. That was a year and a half ago. I love the sound, the portability, connectivity with my iPhone 13 using the new Bose app, and the battery life, while not as good as others, is still okay with me. My girlfriend heard mine, and now she has one, my adult son heard mine and now he has one. All happy campers, highly recommend this especially when these are on sale for just over $100 USD.

Bose bluetooth speaker is awesome clear sound plenty of bass and the volume cranks out loud clear music very well made and great sound with no distortion at higher volume great purchase!!

Charged quickly! Within 15 mins I had a full charge from about 30%. The quality of sound is great not too much bass to drown out the words. Being wet didn't change the quality of sound. Doesn't accumulate dust while using outdoor

Very easy to set up and to use. Sound quality is good. For a single speaker, and for size, it's very good sound. Holds charge a long time. Not perfect or amazing, but a good choice for the price. Would give it 4.5 if that were a choice.

I LOVE IT, LOVE IT THIS IS THE BEST PORTABLE BLUETOOTH SPEAKER I HAVE BOUGHT SO FAR. THE BASE IS AWESOME THE CLARITY IS FANTASTIC, NOT TO MENTION THE SIZE WHICH YOU CAN HANG ANYWHERE. I ALSO BRING IT IN MY CAR SOMETIMES, WHILE MY HUSBAND IS DOING YARD WORK HE LOVES THE SOUND OF THIS WONDERFUL BLUETOOTH. I DEFINITELY WOULD RECOMMEND THIS WONDERFUL BLUETOOTH. I MADE A WISE CHOICE IN PURCHASING THIS PRODUCT.

We've used Bose Soundlink speakers since the beginning. This one is the best yet. Good sound quality, portable, easily charged. Very happy with our purchase.

I love this little Bose Soundlink Flex speaker! It’s small but mighty — it is louder and has a better sound than our soundbar (not a Bose). The small size and carrying strap are perfect to cart from room-to-room (which is what I do). The Bluetooth is easy to use — I keep my phone connected at all times! I haven’t used the app much, but the speaker works fine without it. Highly recommend!

Amazing sound in a relatively small package. I also have the similar JBL and the bass is much richer on the Bose. I take it with me on trips to play music on the beach or in our Airbnb and it works perfectly since it travels well.

I am a bose fan... It wasnt 24 hours before seeing the launch of this speaker that I had one in my hands. Especially at this price point. I own a classic v1 sound link mini, micro, and now the flex. I am impressed with the build quality and definitely the sound from this thing! I was going to go with a Soundlink color about a month ago, because I wanted something a little louder and "updated". I am so glad I waited and this came out. At $150, I have zero regrets on this purchase. Bose did it again! Now I wont have to lug my S1 around when I just want to enjoy some music at moderate levels.
