    I bought this speaker a little over a year ago and it already fails to charge. It has never gotten wet, or been too hot, it's just a faulty unit. Conveniently stopped working right after the year MFR warranty. The sound was pretty good while it lasted. I have tried Bose products before and they're subpar, and this kind of reiterates that. They're similar to Apple in that they were groundbreaking years ago and have coasted on their popularity. The Soundbar I bought years ago I took back immediately because it wasn't even loud. Spend the extra money, buy JBL.

    Randomly Stopped Working

    Sounded and worked great until it randomly stopped working while I was using it just after the 2 year warranty expired. Never been wet, dropped, or exposed to anything that would damage it. Wont turn on or charge or anything. Kind of ridiculous, I have had a JBL clip speaker in my shower for 5+ years and it still works fine. I expected this speaker to last way longer and am very disappointed in this product.

      I am glad to hear you enjoyed the Great sound of the SoundLink Flex.
      If you are having a hard time getting the unit to power on, make sure when you turn on or off your product, quickly press and release the Power button. Holding the Power button, even just briefly, checks the battery charge level, which will not power on or off your product.

      I would also recommend using a plug that is rated 5vDC 1A, to make sure your device is getting ample power.

    Bought this speaker yesterday to bring plowing with me. I started at 1 am with the battery at 100% and by 3 am it was at 30%. Not very happy about it. It sounds great but it's pretty much useless if it only last 4 hrs. I plan on bringing it back to the store and getting my money back. Very very disappointed!!!

    Its decent. Sounded amazing for the first couple weeks and then started sounding like the bass was wrapped in cellophane. Bass levels sound whole at mid volume and lower,

    I have not been able to use it. I moved into my new house on 11/17/2023 and bought this on 12/16/2023 I tried this week to set it up, but the cord that came with it is not correct. I will be taking back to store and hopefully get the right cord. If not a replacement. A disappointment for me. Ordered on line, now have to go to store.

      In a typical usage, the SoundLink Flex battery lasts up to 12 hours. As with any battery-operated device, battery performance can vary based on a number of different factors. These include the type of content being played, the volume at which it’s played, and the surrounding temperature. Listening to music at less than 50% volume ensures a longer battery life, whereas increasing the volume past 65% of max decreases the life of the battery at a faster rate.

    Shouldn't need an app/account to operate a speaker

    Having to download another useless app and create yet another useless account is a deal breaker. I was hoping this would be a beautiful start to a bose collection, but the whole wanting information is so icky I'll be returning this crap and getting something I can just simply Bluetooth connect to like literally anything else. How dumb.

    I bought a brand new one of these just today. Garbage. Why? The stupid proprietary app that they make you download. It doesn't work. I might take the thing back, and go get a JBL instead. What a disappointment. I actually thought Bose sold good products. Why the heck did they get into the software business, and mess it all up?

    false battery life

    It Claims that it has up to 12hr of battery life I bought 2 of them and they both give me only and exactly 3-1/2 hr of play time. I called Bose FOR HELP but they keep giving me the run around. I also have the micro Bose and that one gives me the life it claims. does any one else have this problem?

      I'm sorry that you're experiencing short battery life with your speaker. You should get 12 hours at typical listening volume, however, use of the speaker at extreme volumes will reduce its playback time to as little as a few hours.

    This Speaker the sound sometime loud, and sometime low by itself. I don't know there is something wrong with the Speaker or Bluetooth connection problem. However, I finally have to return it.

      Higher volumes can reduce battery levels. Lowering the volume can bring you closer to the up to 12 hours battery life.

    Not for computers! Must use the app on your PHONE to connect. Such trash, put them with the ear speakers not the overall Bluetooth speakers.

    WASTE OF MONEY! Would never tell anyone to buy this! Battery lasted maybe 2.5 on a full battery. I use speakers for work and i am not always around power! WASTE OF 130$
