Love these and the sound is amazing. Better quality than the more expensive Beats.

The sound quality is great and even though they're not noise cancelling they do block out a lot of background noise.

These were a surprise for my husband for Father's Day. He's pleasantly surprised with how well they work. No complaints so far.

Bottom Line: sound quality is great; Bluetooth range is great; battery life is great; build quality/comfort is great. I'm a long-time Bose consumer. The first product I ever bought from their line was the TriPort AE headphones. That was my introduction to high quality sound: I loved the balance along all sections (mids + highs + lows) and was pretty sure my life would be Bose and nothing else ever after. The bad news was that the physical quality of the TriPort headphones left a lot to be desired: the headband frame snapped and cracked within a year. I was young at the time, and careless: if I had kept the receipt I could have notified Bose and had them replaced (this was back before retailers started keeping online copies of receipts, and I had paid cash for the headphones). I duct-taped them and kept using for as long as I could: eventually the frame broke beyond comfortable usage and I had to dispose of them. I tried a couple other brands and didn't quite get the sound quality & comfort I hoped for. A few years later I opted for the Bose AE2 headphones. The build of the headset frame was much improved: far more flexible with more pivots; lighter in weight; softer padding material to make wearing them much more comfortable. It's six years later and I still have them & was using them on occasion until recently. Over the past year I became most interested in obtaining an ideal set of wireless headphones. I'd bought some in-ear Bluetooth models: these had focused on "extra bass" and had decent battery capacity for being so small, but the sound quality was not at all what I desired as an audiophile (frequently listening to classical music and classical + soft rock). I found a decent pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones that were not the "extra bass" version - these had nice sound and excellent battery life. But the sound quality still wasn't approaching what I'd been used to from Bose. So recently it came time for me to explore again and seek a new pair of Bluetooth headphones. I read about these and decided to buy and give them a shot. And am so glad I did. The most surprising thing is that the sound quality for these WIRELESS headphones exceeds the quality I'd been used to and pleased with from my previous versions of WIRED Bose headphones. These definitely match and probably even exceed the sound quality of my AE2 headphones. My favorite thing to do is use these late at night when watching TV: I was surprised by some sounds I heard while watching "Game of Thrones" using these headphones that I hadn't heard previously when using the 6.1 surround sound from my home receiver. While these are not noise-cancelling, the around-ear construction does manage to weaken exterior noises well enough. For me, if I choose to focus solely on the audio coming to the headset then outer noise is easily dismissed - but if I feel a need to then I can focus on outside noise and pick it up well enough. Additionally I did find that the B/T connection distance exceeded what I got from my other wireless earbuds & wireless Sony headphones: I don't have a mansion, mind you, but there are areas of my home where the other wireless sets would start to crackle/stutter when I got far enough away from the source- whereas I have not experienced this in those same areas with the SoundLink II. The other great thing is how lightweight and comfortable these headphones are. I still remember the day I put my TriPort headphones on and heard the distinct SNAP when the headband cracked from overuse. Bose has come a long way in terms of quality: these feel like a lot of care was put into their making and I feel comfortable that they will last a long time - as I can say for my AE2 set which I've had for nearly six years now. I do have a slight gripe that the SoundLink II don't have the same number of pivots as the AE2 model: so they can't be collapsed & shrunk down as much as the older model. But again I still feel confident that these aren't going to crack/snap on me - and that counts for a lot. Haven't had a chance to really put these through the paces in terms of battery life. Once bought I plugged these into a wall charger for an hr: the charger light was still blinking yellow (charging) but when I turned them on the voice prompt said they were fully charged. I've used for several days now and know they can go at least 12 hours between charges w/o loss of quality - I haven't used them longer than that yet & haven't heard/seen a low battery warning.

So glad I got Bose instead of Beats. Big difference in sound and quality.

Bose offers GREAT SOUND quality. I would definitely recommend these to someone.
