    Id give it a 3.5

Ill start off by saying i am a Huge fan of Bose products. i own the sound touch 30, Cinemate 120, and the Wave systems. They all met my expectations except for these headphones. The Soundlink II's do look great and the sound is very clean and separated. The BEST thing about these headphones is the hands free calling. The mic is immaculate, whom ever i speak too on the phone cant even tell that im not talking directly on my phone, But the thing that made me rate these headphones a 3 is the fact that i keep catching myself trying to turn the headphones up louder past its max... this is something that i have never had to do with Bose and for over $200 headphones there is no reason why i should feel the need to do that. Bose specializes in bringing you big and powerful sound even out of small speakers, while they do sound good, i cant say that they deliver the power that comes along with the Bose name . In my opinion they failed to deliver that on this product. Hence why i give these a 3.5, and due to the price i would not recommend these to a friend.

I've been using Bose headphones for almost a decade now and most of their products are always above my expectations. Same applies to these Soundlink II headphones. Prior to buying these I tested out various brands like Bowers & Wilkins, Beats, Sony etc. and Bose clearly had more superior sound quality with clear vocals and very smooth and vibrant bass. It also has great battery life, I've left my headphones uncharged for almost 3 weeks and the battery was still almost fully charged which surprised me. It is also perfect for listening all day long, trust me your ears won't hurt like they do with other headphones like Beats. Overall 15/10, you'll be satisfied with this product!!!!

    Crisp, Airy, Balanced Sound

In short, if you value clean, clear, distortion-free music tight, controlled, not muddy bass, you can't go wrong with Bose Soundlink...And yes, they produce great, crisp bass. Read on: I just picked up these Bose headphones after a little research. I was looking for a descent pair of wireless headphones. Cords are just driving me crazy and I absolutely HATE earbuds. I lost my Klipsch buds so the search was on. I currently own a well-played Sennheiser over-the-ear corded model which I've owned for years and are great cans. I like detail in my music. The Sennheisers deliver and I wanted a similar experience in a new wireless pair. These Bose Soundlink headphones are proving to be great. If you value crisp notes, airy and balanced sound, these deliver. If you enjoy hearing the DETAILS in your music, I believe these will work for you. I was about to pick up a pair of Beats (I know, I know) Solo 3s. Not bashing on Beats, but the overall sound was muddy to me. Bass was good and volume was certainly higher but overall, I thought the Bose sounded much clearer. Now, about that bass bit. I've read reviews that bass is lacking in the Bose. Actually, I find the base to be quite nicely balanced. I listen to a very diverse genre of music. I just played "9" by Drake which starts with a nice 808 drop. The Soundlinks handled it well with a nice tight kick, snare combo as well. But here's the thing. I've run them in wireless mode and plugged into my iPhone 7. They sound good. But, I also own a $30 headphone amp made inside an Altoids tin. Look it up - Altoids Headphone Amp. They will change how you listen to headphones, if you want to sit and listen. To produce crisp highs, tight deep lows, you actually need plenty of clean power driving your headphones. The puny amp in most mobile devices just isn't up to the task. Plugged into the headphone amp, the Bose units came alive. You will actually damage speakers faster trying to over drive them without enough power than with ample power. In short, if you value clean, clear, distortion-free music tight, controlled, not muddy bass, you can't go wrong with Bose Soundlink. I'm very happy to have a descent pair of quality wireless headphones, finally. And, the option to use them corded with my headphone amp for a little something extra when in the office and not mobile.

Really like the sound of these. Paired with my PC and my iPhone. Both sound great through them. Very comfortable. A bit pricy but that's what is expected from Bose due to build and material quality. One con I can include would be the headphones seem to get confused on occasion between connected devices. I've had to turn off my iPhone and turn it back on before the sound would come through. Overall these are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality sound and comfort.

I bought these headphones for the use of talking on my cellphone in a noisy equipment room at work. Although its not noise cancelling, it does block out a lot of outside noise from fans. Talking to people and they can actually understand what you are saying on the phone is a blessing. These headphone are excellent! Even listening to music the bass response is awesome!! Worth the money I paid.

    Amazing Sound & Quality

First, I love Bose products, and buying these headphones were an easy choice for me. After only 30 minutes of using them, I'm glad my old headphones broke yesterday because that situation gave me a logical reason to buy the headphones I've always wanted. They aren't noise canceling but the sound quality is still amazing and I can barely hear any outside noise while live-streaming or listening to music -- great product. I purchased the extended warranty because I use my headphones everyday so I wanted to be covered if an accident happens -- they cost to much money to just go unprotected.

There are several pros and cons to these headphones. Pros: I've owned these headphones for over a year, and the battery life is still good. Sound quality is good. Do a good job blocking out noise for not being noise canceling (however, I bought a pair of cheap ($40) noise canceling earbuds to take on a long international flight and they worked fantastically for that). Cons: Expensive for what you get. They are so quiet. I have to turn my volume way up to hear things at a normal volume (which I had seen complaints about before I bought them). I can't get a good handle on how good the sound quality is without blaring the music. When I do listen to music loudly, there is so much sound leaking from the headphones. When it's loud for me, everyone else can hear it too. This is my biggest complaint.

Hello Alex, and thanks for taking the time to review our headphones!
We're happy to hear that you're enjoying the quality of the sound of this product, and saddened to hear that you've had volume problems.
When pairing/connecting the device, the A2DP Stereo Audio needs to be active to assure high quality audio is sent to the headset. If the signal is sent to the headset using the Headset Profile (HSP) or Hands-Free Profile (HFP), sound quality will be low and/or poor, so please check this!
If you're unsure how to do this, or have checked this and are still having volume issues, please get in touch with us so we can assist you further!
Thanks again, and have a wonderful day! bose

    Outstanding Wireless Headphones

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

After upgrading to the iPhone 7 Plus, I wanted a good set of wireless headphones. The sound using the wired ear pods were pretty good, but I wanted something better. I studied reviews extensively and frankly there was so much varying information out there that it just confused the issue more than it helped. I was leaning towards the Bose prior to trying them, but I was also interested in the Beats Studio Wireless, especially after the recent sale bringing them in line with the Bose Wireless. I went to a local Best Buy Store and was able to try each of them, along with several other wireless headphones. After testing the Bose, Beats Studio, Sony Extra Bass, and JVC, it was quickly apparent the Bose were superior. They felt really comfortable and the controls were the easiest to use. With three buttons on the right headphone, volume up and down is easy to do and the other button for pause, forward, or previous song is perfect. When you push the power button you immediately hear which two devices it's connected as well as the amount of battery power remaining. It's simple, classy looking, and easy to use. Overall a really great design. But the main reason was the superior sound quality. I listen to a wide array of music, but gravitate to Blues, Country, and Classic Rock; none bass heavy. The Bose allowed me to clearly hear the music, including hearing a pick on guitar strings. Vocals are also clear, but not drowning out the instruments. Overall, I could not be more pleased. Bose clearly gets it when it comes to simplistic and easy to use high performing headphones. I highly recommend them.
