    Just Ok

To be honest I was not impressed with bose headsets. The sound feels flat and muffled. It is a full sound but my preference is bass heavy and these just come out flat in that regard. They are very comfortable but that's about all.

These are Bluetooth speakers but apparently don't have the option of plugging in to a headphone jack. Makes it impossible to use them on a plane.

    Bose Headphone - Warranty

The product performed well for a short period of time, 3 months to be exact. The issue is about customer service. Manufacturer seems unwilling to disclose the warranty information or time period. You have to pry to get this information. Never again. Previously purchased a different brand on another competitor's website for a third the value that lasted much longer and equal quality. Too expensive for such a short term.

A Complete Waste of Money and Plastic

These headphones are terrible for the price. Do not buy them. 1. The band is huge. My head is an average size but they are constantly slipping down whenever the wind blows. You basically can only use them while stationary at a desk, so I thought I would use them for work... 2. I can't actually use them for work because of the horrendous, defective microphone. It amplifies any ambient noise, no matter how quiet, to the sound of a scream. My boyfriend turned on the kitchen sink across the room from me while I was on a call today and the co-worker I was calling yelled from the surprise, as it sounded like I was being blasted with water. They're that bad. And Bose has zero intention of fixing this issue per their website. 3. Finally, and worst of all in my opinion, the noise cancellation is not even as good as previous models. I had one of the earlier models, which is why I decided to upgrade to these when those eventually wore out. The noise cancellation in these is much worse and is essentially non-existent without music playing. It's almost as if there is no active noice cancellation at all, despite the noise cancellation being turned up to the highest setting via the stupidly unhelpful Bose app. These are trash. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone who didn't have an enormous head or live in a silent monastery.

      Hello,

Thanks for your feedback. Please be aware these headphones do not include active noise cancellation technology, apologies if you were led to believe this. If you need this technology in your headset, take a look at our QuietComfort 35 II headphones or Noise Cancelling Headphones 700.

As for the Microphone issues you are experiencing, the SoundLink wireless headphones are engineered for exceptional sound, which stays consistent at any volume thanks to a combination of exclusive technologies. With clear calls in any environment, these are designed to optimize communication at both ends. An advanced mic system with HD Voice provides clarity even when it’s windy, while controls on the earcup let you take/end calls without reaching for your device. And with enhanced sidetone, you’ll sound as natural as if you weren’t wearing headphones.

      Kind regards,

What a joke. Am I being punked?

Let me start by saying ***I bought these straight from Bose, not Best Buy***. The time came where I couldn't last any longer working from home during this stay at home order without having a pair of quality headphones to use for meetings/conference calls. My old QC35s are still at the office and no one is able to go in so I decided to look for another pair of headphones that were specifically rated for good mic/audio quality for conference calls. In comes the SoundLink lls with great ratings across multiple sites, looks super promising, and for a great price! I placed my order. These headphones are a complete joke of a product and a total waste of my time, money, and stress over my coworkers and managers unable to hear me during calls. I though maybe I was doing something wrong and I needed to enable the mic to work. After numerous different tested devices I have NOT ONCE been able to get the mic to work on these. It is incredibly infuriating because that's the ONLY reason I bought these. Also, when I first touched and felt these headphones they feel like the knock off headphones that places like '5 Below' or 'Wish' would sell that are trying to mimic the real deal. They are flimsy with a cheap plastic as their shell. The white ones also are extremely sensitive to dust, dirt, touching of any kind. After the first day of me handling them only a couple times (with clean hands) and with them sitting on my desk they had a disgusting grey splotchiness on the outside of the 2 ear pieces. I will obviously will be returning these and this has unfortunately ruined me as a Bose fan. I hope someone reads this who was in the same position I was and this helps you decide to PASS on this product.

      Hey!
I'm sorry to hear that you have decided to return your SoundLink Around-ear II's. I'm sorry for the issues you are experiencing with the microphone, this is certainly not normal behavior. Updating the firmware of these headphones would have assisted with your microphone issues.
      Thanks!

    Poor sound quality

The sound quality of these headphones is very poor. There is zero bass in the low and medium volume levels. It sounds like it's coming out of an aluminum can. The padding material around the ears isn't very good at keeping external sound out either, which is the whole point of having over-the-ear headphones. For $230 - I feel ripped off and this is completely the opposite of what the Bose name used to be known for.

Bluetooth will not pair with Win 10!!

Spent 2 hours of my time trying to pair my Windows 10 desktop to this Bose headset. My bluetooth drivers are up to date. My iphone pairs just fine but my desktop will not connect. Downloaded Bose’ updater and installed an update and still does not work! Tried clearing the bluetooth memory, restarting my pc, pairing fails every time. Bose’ updater FALSELY states that they fixed a Win 10 pairing issue. They most certainly did not!!! Oh and the cord for the headphones are like 3 ft long... should have made them like 6 ft long. Cord plugs into left ear. My PC tower is to my right. Cord is too short! Will be returning this box of junk to the store tomorrow. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Hi, sorry to hear that you've had some problems connecting your headphones to your Windows 10 system.

You've been through some great troubleshooting steps already! What exactly happens when trying to connect? Do they show on the Bluetooth list? If so, please ensure that you select the headphones on the sound output panel.

      Thanks,

These are trash. I bought them yesterday and will be returning them. Sound quality reminds me of something out of a 1980’s Sony Walkman headset. Zero bass. Sound quality is non-existent. I will be getting another pair of Beats.

Hello, KimM. Thank you for sharing your review of the SoundLink II wireless headphones. I am sorry to hear about your experience. I recommend checking your source device's audio settings. Sound quality may suffer if bass and treble controls are set to extreme levels. Try adjusting the controls to mid-range levels; this may improve sound quality. Be sure to turn off both audio enhancements and special equalizer settings as well. We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Have a great day! Best Regards, Greg - Bose Support bose

    Don’t Waste Your Money

I’m usually a huge supporter of Bose, but I am extremely disappointed in this product. The sound quality is inferior to JBL and Beats. I was anticipating a clear, crisp surround sound experience, but these headphones sound as if they were engineered by my 14 year old son. Dont waste your money.
