Good cover to keep the device clean and dust free

In my opinion even 2 or 3 feet high. Fall from table top all bets are off. It will mitigate scratches to the case but not to the speaker grill and top control buttons. it's a fabric type cover not a hard case cover. To me it was worth the price to mitigate minor dings/scratches but not large drops. The case has an opening large enough to access power and service port at the back of the unit. The speaker grill is unobstructed by the case and does not impact sound and clarity.

If one is traveling with the SoundLink, it needs to be placed in something more substantial to protect it. This is a 3 sided cover which means the top is open, and potentially the SoundLink could slide out. There are no carrying handles anywhere on it.
