Amazing sound and connectivity. Replaced our old portable and this supercedes the previous unit in sound quality and battery life!

Great sound, perfect size. Highly recommend this for inside and outside!

Decided to upgrade from the flex. The sound stage is much wider. It is stereo but the drivers are close so it’s not like having 2 speakers. But makes movies sound great. Used it at a pool party with about 30 people and it filled the space and lasted about 4 to 5 hours at almost full blast. Minimal distortion and the bass was impressive for an outdoor space. As with all these little speakers, the sound deeper if placed up against a wall or corner where the sound can quell. It also sounds deep and really great at low volumes in smaller rooms.

It's a very good speaker. It has clear sound and excellent bass. You can use it anywhere; just take it with you, turn it on, sync it with your phone, and you're all set.

Fabulous sound, easy to connect, works well with the Bose app and Pandora. Placement in a large room seems best when there are no obstructions limiting the sound from the sides of the speaker.

Surprisingly good sound for a reasonablly priced compact sized, lightweight, waterproof speaker. Perfect for traveling, in the shower, or at the beach. Also great to be able to pair two speakers together for a stereo effect. Super easy to set-up and use.

Love the bass, sounds perfect, I don't volume the speaker to it max and it just get loud....I definitely recommend it. The only thing I do not like is the voice prompt

I couldn’t be more impressed with the Bose SoundLink Max. The sound quality is absolutely phenomenal – rich bass, clear mids, and crisp highs, even at higher volumes. Purchased as a gift for my middle-school son who wanted something portable with better sound quality than a loud cell-phone. This definitely fits the bill, as the sound quality is excellent and what I would expect from a Bose product. Connecting to a smartphone or other Bluetooth device was quick and easy and my child was able to get the speaker up and running and listen to music without opening the manual. Although we have not tested its waterproofing feature, the black rubber shell seems thick, durable and likely to survive being dropped or banged around. The controls are minimal and self-explanatory, and the unit can be recharged with common USB cabling (which was included with the product). I am not sure how reliable the rudimentary clasping mechanism on the strap will be after some use and wear and tear but time will tell. The price seems a little high for what you get (hence the four-star rating) but I presume the "Bose" branding increases the price.

This has huge bass, especially for a Bose product. I was totally blown away when I turned this little bad boy up. I love that it is waterproof and it definitely feels rugged. I will not be hesitant to take this biking or out in the woods and I am already turning this on when I wake up in the morning and just bringing into the shower so I don't have to stop listening to my audiobook or music. This speaker is the ultimate multi-functioning sound machine. It's small enough to take anywhere and produces better and bigger sound than much larger and more expensive speakers. Bose really put a lot of thought into this one and produced another winner!

This this is amazing!!!!! I had lost this outside in flood season for 2 months. Then I found it on my uncovered patio! I seriously thought it was a goner. It worked perfectly! There were two different floods in the 2 months.
