The little orange speaker that could…. And she DID
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live this so much! I got it for my bicycle and it matches my orange theme, not to mention the sound quality is incredible and the strap is surprisingly secure ! I did however purchase a cover/case just in case. The case also has a Carabiner that I have attached to a zip tie for peace of mind! I like it so much I may purchase another and have surround sound now that I see they can be paired and do party mode!!!

This speaker fills the whole room
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this speaker every day, and it has been worth it. The sound fills the room without distortion, and the bass is deeper than I expected. It’s easy to move around thanks to the handle, and the battery lasts a long time. I also like that it’s durable and can handle being used in different rooms. It’s simple to pair and works smoothly with my phone. Definitely one of my favorite purchases.

Absolutely!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose SoundLink Micro is a very pleasant surprise! Though we obtained it for the family to use, I plan to get another one just for myself. Honestly, it is QUALITY audio from such a diminutive design that it is hard to resist. Here are some thoughts about our experience with Micro so far. First and foremost - the sound! I have a very expensive pair of headphones as my primary means of listening to music. When those headphones are not in use, I also have a very nice set-up of loudspeakers in a couple of rooms in our home. I am picky about sound quality and I know every nuance of some of my favorite albums which I have listened to for years. Believe it or not, the SoundLink Micro actual competes! At much lower volumes, of course, and only when the Micro is placed in close proximity; yet, this little speaker puts out very rich and pleasing high-quality music. The lows, mids and highs are all there and well represented. The sound is as detailed, dynamic and accurate as a little speaker possibly could put out. When compared to other bluetooth speakers we own, I like the Micro somewhat better (more accurate) than our Bose SoundLink Mini II. The bass is also tighter on the Micro when compared to the MIni. The Mini has bass that punches deaper but it tends to drown out the highs. The Micro does not have that problem. I also like the Micro much better than our Bose SoundLink Color II. The Color is not nearly as dynamic though it plays louder. The only bluetooth speaker I like better is our Bose SoundLink Revolve which handedly tops the Micro in every area. That is, every area except for ruggedness and portability. Speaking of portability, that is another aspect that makes the SoundLink Micro stand-out. It fits so perfectly in the hand. There is a nice weight to it that feels right. Also, the silicon outer shell has a quality feel to it. It does not quit feel rubbery in a cheap way. It reminds me more of the fluoroelastomer sports band that came with my wife’s smart watch. It just feels right. The back strap has the same quality feel. The strap secures firmly in place and seems durable enough to last for years. Though the speaker is small enough to fit in my pocket, I probably would rather use the strap to attach the speaker to a bag or belt. My son likes to strap it to his trumpet case when he goes to band practice (see photo). The speaker is both water proof and shock resistant which just adds to its portability. The small size and rugged “take anywhere” aspect of the Micro is what really sets it apart from every other speaker we own. Bose claims that the battery will last up to six hours. Honestly, I have not kept track of how long we use the speaker before needing to charge it. I do know that our experience with Bose with our older speakers is that they tend to under promise and over deliver on their battery claims. I fully expect the Micro would last longer than six hours if played near 60% volume which is where I tend to keep it. As to features, the Bose Micro has plenty. The speaker doubles as a speaker phone with a dedicated button to answer phone calls. The same button also multitasks to pause/play music, skip tracks and summon our devices’ voice assistant. The Bose Connect App is available to download to tweak the speaker’s auto-off settings and to update the firmware when available. Bose says that the App also serves to link the Micro to other Bose bluetooth speakers. I have not tried this feature yet, but certainly will soon. How awesome to have two speakers playing stereo music on the go! The Bose SoundLink Micro is probably not be for everyone, but for most will be absolutely fantastic. It certainly sounds nice for its size. Actually, it just sounds great - period. Great job Bose!

Classy little speaker sounds amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this little speaker. I have review a bunch of Bluetooth speakers so I know what I like. Setup was easy. There is a special Bose Connect app, but you don't need it. You can connect just through the bluetooth setting like any other speaker. The only thing the app does that you might need is a firmware update oh and party mode where you connect multiple Micros together. I am not keeping it on my phone. When you turn it on a very nice lady tells you the battery level. I love this. When you connect to a device, she tells you and even says the name of what you connected to. The documentation says it is waterproof. For me that means it's ok to be outside when it starts to rain. Then I put it under cover. I'm not going to push it. There is a rubber strap on the back that disconnects on one ent then snaps back. It's kinda tight, so I'm not sure what I can use it for. The charging cable is the standard USB Micro. I wish it was USB C because that is where things are moving. Finally, the sound! It is awesome. gets nice and loud with full base. I listened to it for hours around my campfire and decided I just love it. The size is very nice too. Overall a very well made classy speaker. Notes: - Water proof so you can use it outside without fear - Sounds amazing, loud volume, clear sound - Long 6 hour battery life - Nice lady tells you the battery level and when you are connected - Don't really need the app to connect. - Uses micro USB cable, would have liked USB C - Strap on back to attach speaker to something

Power button is FLIMSY and WEAK.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible purchase. Wasted $400. The Power button is FLIMSY and WEAK. I pressed the button too hard and heard the plastic break and fall into the speaker. Now it is un-usuable. There is also no remote or automatic bluetooth turn on functionality so now the speaker has become a brick. I only owned it for 7 months. And trying to replace it with BOSE now, the serial number is printed so poorly they cannot recognize the ID. Please don’t waste your money and time with this poorly made product.

Impressively BIG sound, small speaker!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This bluetooth speaker from Bose boasts impressive volume from such a small unit, very capable of playing over crowd or background noise, and has the capability of connecting to other SoundLink Micros to offer a multi-speaker environment. Though, the numerous speaker set up seems unnecessary from my experiences with it. The speaker is able to produce a decent quality sound with more than enough volume to make itself heard in a crowd. The sound quality is comparable to other bluetooth speakers of a similar and even slightly larger size, good but not great. With that being said, for the settings you'll use it, the sound quality is more than good enough! Pros: -Compact and lightweight -Durable -Easy setup -Ability to pair with other Bose SoundLink Micros -Waterproof -Elastic strap to clip your speaker to a bike, backpack, or shower curtain rod! Cons -Elastic strap is not able to be used as a stand as well (makes sense as it is elastic) -Price per unit, one is sufficient for most things it's designed for but the ability to connect multiple to one device for a multi-speaker setup can be more costly than a larger bluetooth speaker I would highly recommend for smaller outdoor gatherings for some background music, cookouts, using on group bike rides, and for music in the shower. Very nice and durable little device!

Great balanced sound in a small rugged package!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously had an older Bose 360 degree speaker and it was great - it was portable, sounded good, and you could hear music in any direction. This definitely takes it up several notches, however. With the SoundLink Max, you get stereo sound and good bass as well. It isn't extremely large, I would say roughly the size of a shoe. I really like the rubberized finish on it, which means that it is durable and can handle a few bumps and bruises. I also like the fact that it is powered by USB-C and can charge your phone as well! Having an aux input jack is also very nice. Because it has stereo drivers, it is able to do left/right, whereas other speakers have just a single driver. Bass is further enhanced by the radiators on the sides, as some other competitor models also do. That being said, I was impressed by the sound quality. By default the sound is "energetic", with prominent mids and good bass. However the app provides the ability to adjust the EQ (though only in bass/mid/high, instead of a more precise layout with sliders for the different bands) to tune the sound to your liking. The carry handle is also fairly sturdy, and the speaker can get pretty loud. All in all, I really like this device in that it has good quality sound without being overly large/heavy.

Portable, Excellent battery life, great sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The SoundLink Max delivers excellent sound quality (which BOSE is known for!) The speaker measures in at 10.5” x 5” x 4” which makes it very portable. The first thing I noticed was the building quality. It has a little heft, which I love, and the rope handle is a nice touch. The sound quality is amazing, which is nice is such a small package. Too many times, I have used bluetooth portable speakers, and the sound quality negates portability. The bass was not too much, and the mids sounded great. I am a big classical fan, and this speaker manages to perform well in the genre. For battery, we are looking at 20 hours at moderate volume. I was able to use the device for around 5 hours, low volume, and the device was still at 100%, which was crazy. I believe if you keep the device at a decent to low volume, you could possibly see better battery life in terms of hours. There is also a USB-C port you can use to charge a phone, which is a neat feature to have. You can never have enough ways to charge handy. Overall, this is a well-designed, excellent performing Bluetooth speak. This will be a daily driver for me and my family as the portablity and sound, along with excellent battery life make this a must have for us.

You really have to hear it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Without question, the SL Max provides great sound out-of-the-box dominating speakers twice its size and form factor. With very few shortcomings, it will be my go-to speaker for beach/picnic outings due to its space filling soundscape and portability. Performance- Rich, full sound with a great balance of treble and bass. No peaking on high volumes and easily able fill a room and/or cover a space in a mid-size gathering. App based EQ can further implement a specific sound profile to match different genres of music. My overall rating is specifically tied to its robust performance. Size/ Portability- A lot packed into a little. For comparison, it's roughly the size of a Fiji water bottle and easily able to fit into any backpack without hogging too much space. With that, the control panel buttons are sized just right, even for my thick fingers. Another high point. Build- When you first grab the handle, you may be slightly surprised at how heavy the capsule is. With that weight comes confidence in the build. This is a solid, sturdy road companion. I have no issue toss around, getting wet, or placing in the sand. A downside it there are no covers for the power or aux inputs, but there is a warning system for charging. If there is water detected, the led will flash until dry. In any event Bose recommends fan usage for drying/clearing debris, so I can still feel confident in taking it wherever I boldly go. This goes for the handle as well. Very sturdy, without the need to be delicate. Battery- The first 10% of the fully charged battery disappeared after about an hour and some change, which I assumed I was going to get roughly 10% per hour. But, I've been at 80% for well past that metric which gives a solid plus for battery life. Of course, the louder the play, the shorter the battery life, but for sporadic usage, the battery has surpassed satisfaction. Finish- This is where I find one of my main issues. The finish of the Max is a rubber based matte coating. While I know it helps with durability, it is terrible for keeping your speaker looking its best. All knicks, dust, specks, marks, etc. show on the surface and are not easily removed. So, if you're going to put this speaker to hardship, let it be known it will look the part over time. Also, I have known such finishes to not do well over time with oxidation. Only time will tell, but this is/has been my experience. App experience- Easily connected to several BT sources with/without the app. App adds EQ and quick settings so it will be advantageous if you like to tinker with your sound. The app has been improved since my last foray with the S1 Pro. So far, dependable and useful when I choose to use it. A few things to wrap up. The first is the Shortcut button. It is promoted as programmable, but the only choices are for the AUX and Spotify. I'm hoping that can be expanded through a software update at a later date, as of writing this, it is simply a disguised "source" button. I would love to set the button to my preferred music app of choice. Second, there are no in-call options. No mic or speaker output of calls. That can be a hit or miss feature, and they chose to exclude it here. When you take a call, music stops, call is taken through handset. Once call completes, music automatically resumes with no interaction needed. Not an issue, but is one of those features that should be noted. In closing, The Soundlink Max lives up to the boisterous claims and satisfies just about all of my needs and wants in an on-the-go speaker. A worthy companion.

bose speaker
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose SoundLink delivers exceptional sound quality for its size. The sound is clear, crisp, and balanced, with rich bass that you wouldn’t expect from a portable speaker. Whether you’re playing music with heavy beats or more acoustic tunes, the speaker adapts and provides an immersive listening experience. There’s little to no distortion even at high volumes, which is a testament to Bose's engineering. Design and Build The design is sleek and modern, with a premium feel that you’d expect from a Bose product. The speaker is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around for trips, outdoor activities, or simply moving from room to room. It’s also made with durable materials, so I feel confident using it in various environments without worrying about it getting damaged. Battery Life Battery life is impressive, offering up to 12 hours of continuous playtime on a full charge. This makes it great for long listening sessions, whether indoors or outdoors. Charging is quick and easy, and the speaker also features an easy-to-read battery indicator, so you always know when it’s time to recharge. Connectivity The Bose SoundLink pairs seamlessly with my devices via Bluetooth, and the connection is strong and stable even at a distance. It also supports voice prompts and can easily switch between multiple devices. For hands-free operation, the speaker includes a built-in microphone for taking calls, which works well during calls, offering clear audio without distortion. Water Resistance One of the standout features is its water-resistant design. It can handle a bit of splashing or rain, making it a perfect companion for outdoor activities like hiking, beach days, or poolside lounging. Conclusion Overall, the Bose SoundLink is a top-tier portable speaker that combines high-quality sound, durability, and portability. It’s ideal for anyone looking for premium audio in a compact, versatile package. Whether you’re listening at home, outdoors, or on the go, this speaker is sure to impress. The price point is definitely justified by its performance and build quality. If you’re in the market for a portable speaker, the Bose SoundLink is an excellent choice.
