They are good but compared to the max It is no contest. Max is unbelievable, better Bluetooth and everything else. If you can spare some change, you will not be disappointed. Excellent speaker from Bose.

I figured it would have nice and deep bass in a small form factor since that is what bose is known for. It sounded good and the speaker did get loud but the bass for me was a bit lacking. Not sure what i was expecting but it should have sounded much bigger than it did to me. If you already own a flex just buy anorher one and stereo pair them, it will have a similar sound profile and be a little more flexible and portable, and cheaper.

If bass is a little lacking, then moving the speaker closer to a wall or corner, or placing it on or near a hard surface, will automatically increase bass response.
