Bass is excellent. Very easy to connect to my phone for music or tablet for movies on the go. When powered on it will tell you the battery charge. USB recharge. Has a strap to connect to belt, bike, whatever so that it stays put. Only thing missing is a carry case for when not in use (available as after market). For now I am storing in the original box.

The sound only seems marginally better than the Flex, but the cost is 3 times as much. Quite a bit larger than the Flex, but the sound is still good for its size. Playing two of the Flex together is cheaper and a better experience though.

Posted .Hi John, I'm happy you like the Bose sound in general! It's true that some customers prefer the Max, while others go for the Flex. One advantage the Max has is the AUX port, which the Flex doesn't have. Also, the Max can be played for slightly longer before it needs charging (20 hours at moderate volume).
