I've had a better experience with the Soundlink Max than the Bose Soundbar 600. In fact, you could use this instead of a soundbar if the room was smaller.

It seemed overwhelming initially but toned down after 50 hours of use. Top end is a little rolled off, but very smooth and easy to listen. For its size it produces room filling sound.
