I tried sonos, jbl, and even ego. Crystal clear highs and even some good lows.

Sound is very good. Only worry is the recesses on the top used as switch buttons to power on and adjust volume: long fingernails could damage the surface as a woman 's fingertip is setback but not the hard tip of the fingernail.

It has a clear and clean upper range, full bass and great overall mix. It has an adjustable EQ for those that like to adjust their audio further. It can also be used as a portable power supply with the USB-C port.

It had much more bass than teh smaller soundlinks. The bass was a little "muddy" though. Mids weren't great and highs were meh as well. Only the bass was better than my gen 1 soundlink flex. The flex has a nicer sound for mids and highs but lacks the bass that the max has. For teh typical price, I'd recommend the Sonos Move 2 waaaay over the soundlink max. Much richer sound, nice bass (tighter/cleaner). Someone who like dance music (electronic, house, etc), the max was ok, and a little more bass overall (than move 2), but i'd still recommend teh move 2 even for that. Much richer sound overall and still very good bass (due to being clean bass, it doesn't seem as "bassy" with some club music, but it still has plenty and produces the low frequencies very well. Personally, I would not recommend it for the cost. If it was arpunmd 250 dollars, sure, but for 350-400, no.

Best portable speaker

The sound and the quality build are exceptional. Maybe is not so loud like JBL Boombox 3, but Bose is about sound quality not loudness.

Decided to buy this new version and it’s simply amazing. I have a much bigger speaker tower in my garage from another brand and honestly this little Bose speaker sounds better. And it uses an app so you can change the equalizer to your preferences. The bass is there if you want it, doesn’t distort if you raise that up.
