We love it so much so that we have bought around 6-7 of these in last few years - for home use, and for gifts. Sound quality: just amazing for its size. We are a big Bose fan family - the thing we love the most about Bose is the "clarity" of sound. We like bass but we value clarity of sound more and that is where almost all of Bose speakers excel - including this one. Functional: so easy to carry. It has a strap that you can use to attach to your backpack / bike / or whatever. Waterproof feature allows us to use it in / around pool. It has a built-in mic, but we have never used that. We have multiple headsets / ear buds that we use for that purpose. We have used it in sync with other Bose speakers (likes of this, as well as other models such as SoundLink Resolve). Overall we just love this specific speaker and buy it any chance we get to gift it (hey.. get in line)... :-)

Outstanding range. Solid, crisp bass. I was initially hesitant because I am not a Bose fan but this speaker is amazing and worth every penny. Great highs and clear mids. If you like bass you won't be disappointed. It is much louder than I expected. I actually smiled. Solid build, very portable. My friend "Clavinetjunkie" does a great YouTube review.

I bought this speaker so I could use it on photo shoots with clients. Music really loosens them up. I was skeptic on buying the speaker but I’m so glad I did. Sounds amazing for for the size plus is water proof and has a strap on the back to lock down on a backpack or a bike. It’s so small yet produces a big sound. I didn’t think we would hear it as I’m shooting out in an open street or field but it’s loud enough to get energy in my clients and I often find them dancing. Which usually it’s the volume that’s gets the energy up from my experience at least. No distortion and lasts a long time; it’s hasn’t died on me yet. I’d say at least 5 hrs a full volume. Would definitely buy again if needed. Oh I’ve had this for about 6 months

This is an amazing bose speaker max i owned i still have the other speaker soundlink but this one is more bass more clarity and loud. Battery life is good also. U cant beat the Bose sound!!

I use this for day hiking and it is perfect for my need. I just clip in on my daypack and loud enough for me that I don’t bother the other hikers. Its rubber body is tough and being waterproofed is just icing in the cake as I don’t anticipate using this near the water. On a low volume and after 2 hours of hiking, I still get 100% battery.

It's very handy and very useful. It sounds great and the speaker was so good! The bass was good too. I recommend this.

I have used Bose speakers for 20+ years and I know they are great sounding, but I didn't expect so much bass from this little speaker. I bought it for my daughter, and now I need one. It connected easily to her phone via bluetooth, and is water proof in case she decides to play in the rain.

Doesn’t seem like this Bluetooth speaker would produce such a rich, powerful sound due to its small footprint but that’s exactly what it does!! Will fill a BIG room with immersible music that last for hours! This thing can handle any type of celebration you throw at it! It’s a Bose, what else would we expect!!!

Purchase the speaker for my bike. Easy to set up as it has Bluetooth and is waterproof. The music is very loud and clear. However, the backstrap tendency will fall off in time. Since then, Bose have come up with an updated strap.

I love this speaker. It has clear sound and its battery lasts a long time. It's great because it's the perfect size.

Well is a very clear sound and small you can fit it in your pocket battery last longer I used one two days in a row for like 6 hours a day and still playing to the next day, and the best thing is water proof so dont worry if you drop it in the sink or pool

It's a very good speaker. It has clear sound and excellent bass. You can use it anywhere; just take it with you, turn it on, sync it with your phone, and you're all set.

This speaker was such a good purchase! Easy to use, sounds amazing and great for travel. The charge lasts with continuous play and does not drain down quickly like others I've had. I would recommend purchasing this is you are in the market.

Fabulous sound, easy to connect, works well with the Bose app and Pandora. Placement in a large room seems best when there are no obstructions limiting the sound from the sides of the speaker.

Decided to upgrade from the flex. The sound stage is much wider. It is stereo but the drivers are close so it’s not like having 2 speakers. But makes movies sound great. Used it at a pool party with about 30 people and it filled the space and lasted about 4 to 5 hours at almost full blast. Minimal distortion and the bass was impressive for an outdoor space. As with all these little speakers, the sound deeper if placed up against a wall or corner where the sound can quell. It also sounds deep and really great at low volumes in smaller rooms.
