Outstanding range. Solid, crisp bass. I was initially hesitant because I am not a Bose fan but this speaker is amazing and worth every penny. Great highs and clear mids. If you like bass you won't be disappointed. It is much louder than I expected. I actually smiled. Solid build, very portable. My friend "Clavinetjunkie" does a great YouTube review.

I purchased 2 of these. They sound pretty good for the size, but the sound really improves when you pair 2 of them together and put them in stereo mode (using the Bose app). I bought them to use on my paddle board and kayak. Caution, the strap is not the most secure. I used the strap to secure the speakers to a bungie cord on my paddle board. I was relaxing on my paddle board one day and stretched my arms up and it instantly released the strap and the speaker sank to the bottom of the lake. The speaker is definitely submersible, but it does not float. I'm impressed with the sound - it's not phenomenal, but good for the size of the speaker. Battery life is really good, as advertised. Setup was simple, though I often have to try a couple of times with the Bose app to get both of them connected and in stereo mode. It's nice that the speaker will "talk" to you and let you know when it's connected to your device, the battery life. It also notifies which is left and right when in stereo mode. Next time, I'd seriously consider purchasing a single speaker in the price range of 2 of these. I've a feeling the sound would be just as good (or better), and you'd only have to worry about charging and securing 1 speaker instead of 2.

I bought this speaker so I could use it on photo shoots with clients. Music really loosens them up. I was skeptic on buying the speaker but I’m so glad I did. Sounds amazing for for the size plus is water proof and has a strap on the back to lock down on a backpack or a bike. It’s so small yet produces a big sound. I didn’t think we would hear it as I’m shooting out in an open street or field but it’s loud enough to get energy in my clients and I often find them dancing. Which usually it’s the volume that’s gets the energy up from my experience at least. No distortion and lasts a long time; it’s hasn’t died on me yet. I’d say at least 5 hrs a full volume. Would definitely buy again if needed. Oh I’ve had this for about 6 months

I use this for day hiking and it is perfect for my need. I just clip in on my daypack and loud enough for me that I don’t bother the other hikers. Its rubber body is tough and being waterproofed is just icing in the cake as I don’t anticipate using this near the water. On a low volume and after 2 hours of hiking, I still get 100% battery.

I have used Bose speakers for 20+ years and I know they are great sounding, but I didn't expect so much bass from this little speaker. I bought it for my daughter, and now I need one. It connected easily to her phone via bluetooth, and is water proof in case she decides to play in the rain.

I bought this to replace my Bose Mini SoundLink 1. That speaker served me for 11 years! College parties, beach trips, kayaking, camping, work, grilling, sad boy hours. You name it, that speaker played its little heart out. It became an icon in the friend group. While many have had 4-6 speakers over the years, I've had just the one. I unfortunately dunked it in water while on the river. The battery was beginning to fail anyway, but that deemed to be too much for my Mini. It still played for a few hours after that, but its final song was Great Expectations by Day Wave on 07/04/2024. It played all the way through and turned off for its last time. I put that speaker though things it was never built to do, and it just kept going. I bought the Max because it IS built to withstand my lifestyle, and Bose as a portable speaker has won me over. I will forever buy Bose, and this speaker.. I mean wow! What a sound! The battery life is incredible, the tone and bass is amazing! truly one of the best sounding Bluetooth speakers I've heard for its size. To be fair it's a little too soon to tell, but if this is anything like my Mini SoundLink 1, (and this can withstand the river) I will be playing music out of it for many years to come, and I believe this too will become the next icon amongst friends and family. I have already enjoyed many hours from the new Bose Max.

Well is a very clear sound and small you can fit it in your pocket battery last longer I used one two days in a row for like 6 hours a day and still playing to the next day, and the best thing is water proof so dont worry if you drop it in the sink or pool

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of orange, but this speaker looks really good. It's easy to use, and syncs quickly. The sound quality is where it really shines, though. For such a small speaker, the quality is fantastic and it can definitely get loud enough. I use it in the bathroom while I shower, as well!

Small and easy to take everywhere. Waterproof is a plus. Sound is great and connects easy to your phone. Also has a strap to attack it to your backpack when you go on a hike.

I would highly recommend this little Bose speaker, great for a beach/pool day, hiking, or just hanging out around the house. Great sound quality and easy to use. Only negative for me is that the charging port is micro usb in 2025. Was really hoping for usb-c which has become the standard. However battery life is good and I haven’t ever run out of power when out using the speaker!

Bose is the brand of my car speakers and since I’m very pleased with the sound, I bought this portable speaker for my dad, and it’s great quality, perfect size and very easy to use for him.

This portable speaker is great for outdoor use. It will take on the rugged terrain or minor drops you give it. The sound is crisper than all other Best Buy choices in its size. If you are looking for more bass then I would not recommend this product. But it does live up to the Bose name when it comes to quality of sound. Definitely is waterproof (kayak tested) and easy to connect to any bluetooth. Only negative comment about this is the built in strap it comes with when attaching it to something. I would not see myself attaching this speaker to a handle bar or bag by the strap alone....not very secure once rubber strap is streched to connecting locking hole port. The speaker can be unattached with easy if brushed on a tree limp and hard bump on the road....which making it an expensive mistake if detached to wherever it was strapped down to...

Surprisingly good sound for a reasonablly priced compact sized, lightweight, waterproof speaker. Perfect for traveling, in the shower, or at the beach. Also great to be able to pair two speakers together for a stereo effect. Super easy to set-up and use.

This speaker is so awesome. Sounds great and so portable and versatile. I have one I take on all my walks and my husband has one as well to listen to his sports talk radio

Bose really delivers, just like the reviews say. It is a mighty fine little speaker with excellent sound quality and volume in a handy shape you can slip in a jacket pocket. Perfect for traveling, bedroom, home office, etc. And waterproof! Great gift item.

You get the Bose quality at such a great price that you cannot pass it up. This speaker connects seamlessly to multiple devices and provides long lasting great sound with plenty of volume for most get togethers. I use mine daily from the shower, to the office, on the golf course, and around the house. The Flexible yet sturdy band on the back allows you to affix the speaker to almost anything which is super convenient. I am so pleased that I actually bought another one for my son. I would highly recommend this product.

I love this speaker! It has great sound and highly portable. The battery is also great. My vacation to the Caribbean proved the value and performance with music at the beach and at the pool in both rain and sweltering heat and humidity. Highly recommend!

Purchased as a gift for my middle-school son who wanted something portable with better sound quality than a loud cell-phone. This definitely fits the bill, as the sound quality is excellent and what I would expect from a Bose product. Connecting to a smartphone or other Bluetooth device was quick and easy and my child was able to get the speaker up and running and listen to music without opening the manual. Although we have not tested its waterproofing feature, the black rubber shell seems thick, durable and likely to survive being dropped or banged around. The controls are minimal and self-explanatory, and the unit can be recharged with common USB cabling (which was included with the product). I am not sure how reliable the rudimentary clasping mechanism on the strap will be after some use and wear and tear but time will tell. The price seems a little high for what you get (hence the four-star rating) but I presume the "Bose" branding increases the price.
