Not able to control base levels or clarity of sound. Not very loud. Still a nice little speaker for the price.

The unit works great. I tried pairing with another one and it kept losing connection. I returned the second and kept only one.

I've had the Bose Soundlink Micro Bluetooth speaker for about a month or so now and I am very happy with it. It has amazing sound for such a small speaker. It is a weighty piece with a great rugged exterior so you can tell it's made to last. It was easy to connect and set up my device using the app. I love how portable it truly is especially with the added strap you can attach to your belt, bag, or bike. It's very durable and stays put so you don't have to worry about the strap opening while using. Bonus that it's waterproof so that's one thing you don't have to worry about. I can't wait to buy these for stocking stuffers at Christmas time.

Old School Need - Modern Technology

I wanted two speakers on each bedroom nightstand- and in stereo. I listen to a lot of pre-1980 music where stereoness was a part of the sound. But no one wants a full on old school stereo with wires and and a amp. And we don’t want mono sound from one or more speakers. We want wireless, lightweight, iphone controlled, and iphone app friendly. Enter the Bose Soundlink Mico with Real Stereo. It’s awesome! I lie in bed (in the middle- if I’m lucky) and go to sleep with beautiful sound in stereo softly bounding around the room. Note: This is real stereo! I bought the Logitech Ultimate Ears and they pair up speakers like many do now- but not TRUE stereo: more like 60/40 from each speaker. And to get this you have to have both speakers in proximity to your hands to press two buttons simultaneously. NO! The Bose are always on and plugged in at my house. I just Bose Connect on the iPhone app, pair in the app, play music. I don’t have to touch any speakers (auto-off turned off- not always possible in other brands and not in UE). I don’t use them portable so I can’t speak to that but in the whole history of stereo’s $198 was always a good deal and it is today. Very happy!

    Exceeded my expectations

I didn't expect it to be this loud or have the quality it has. For a speaker that is so small I love that it is louder than my old bluetooth speaker. I can hook it in the bathroom and still hear it in the Kitchen which helps while I'm cleaning. So while I can take it in every room with me I don't have to if I'm just grooving and cleaning..

Our Bose Soundlink III has been all over the world traveling with us. Besides the continental U.S. and Hawaii it has been to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands and South America. But with plans to head off to Ireland next year I had decided to not carry the 3 lb Soundlink III and its charger on this adventure. When the Micro was introduced I was intrigued, thinking this may fit the bill for Ireland. Then I read the reviews where the unit was receiving praise for its sound quality and design. I picked mine up yesterday and was excited to see another Bose product that exceeded my expectations. Not only will this Micro easily fit in my duffel for the trip, at 10oz it does not add any significant weight. I like the fact it does not have a separate charger. It uses standard micro USB cord to charge. When I first played the speaker I was impressed with the bass it produced. For a little speaker like this it has better sound than some earbuds/headphones I've used. Overall this product is perfect for what I intend it for, listening to music while relaxing in Ireland with a Guinness.

I received the Bose Soundlink Micro Bluetooth Speaker through Best Buy. I always wanted a Bose because their displays have always sounded good in-store so why not. Ibwas a little sceptical because of the size as to how good it could it be. In truth it was better than I thought it would be. Out of the box it's heavy for its size. A good thing if you ask me. I have 2 other Bluetooth speakers also from Best Buy. The JBL Charge 2 which is a good speaker but not very loud. I also have the Lifeproof and it is not so good. It has a plastic box sound to it and is quite compared to the other 2 speakers. The Bose has crisp clean sound. The bass is not special but Bose wants what I think is quality overall sound. So don't go looking for deep rich bass. If you want good overall sound and loud for such a small speaker then this is your speaker of choice. It does recommend that you download their app before you connect. According to the app it allows you to connect another Bose speaker through Bluetooth. I just might have to purchase one to test this out. The Bose is worth the price of admission.

Hello, Nicoleann. Thank you for taking the time to write your review of the SoundLink Micro portable Bluetooth speaker. We're sorry to hear that the audio performance has not lived up to your expectations. We can provide you with some troubleshooting steps to help you thoroughly enjoy the speaker. We suggest updating the firmware of the speaker using a computer and our online updater - https://bose.life/2LYNuy8. Also, you may want to check the EQ settings on your mobile device. The EQ settings of the Bluetooth device can affect the sound. On your device, try setting the EQ to "off" or "flat" and disabling any other sound playback adjustments (i.e., loudness, compression, reverb, etc.). These settings are commonly found in the audio settings or in the settings of the app being used to play audio. Additionally, you can try reducing the number of applications running on your mobile device. The processor of it may lower the audio output quality when it is running other applications. We certainly appreciate your feedback. Have a great day. Ashley - Bose Support bose

Hi! Thank you for your review.

The Soundlink Micro Portable Speaker has 1 40mm Driver, Which makes it able to perform in indoor areas. But may get drowned out in outdoor areas. You can pair with another Micro to boost the performance in audio. bose
