Customers are saying

Customers admire the SoundLink Micro Portable Bluetooth Speaker for its exceptional sound quality, portability, and convenient size. The long battery life and waterproof design are also well-received features. However, some customers have expressed concerns about the strap's design and perceived flimsiness, while others feel the price is a bit high.

    I'm breaking up with bose

Decent-ish bass at times. Its only hitting the lowest drum bass completely missing the background rumbling bass created by strings or other instruments. Decent highs and treble while everything inbetween is muddled. Bose speakers have taken a nose dive since the original soundlink mini. That was their last fantastic speaker. Headphones are over rated. Soundbars are ok. I think I'm just finally done with bose overall.

Speaker would not charge. Surprised because I have been happy with other Bose products. Best Buy handled the return without incident.

      Hi!
I appreciate you've already returned the speaker, but if you want to try it again in the future I'd love to help. When charging, make sure the charger you are using is rated for 5 VDC, 1.5 A. Other ratings may not charge the speaker correctly.

    No way!

In short, not worth $100. Two main issues for me: sound quality and the bass is weak. To get the best sound from this unit you must have speaker facing you and not laying flat on a table for example. You get two different sounds...trust me. I’m a live sound engineer and part time Djay by the way. Also, they hyped the bass too much but the truth is bass is too weak. I tried to like it but it went back to BB. Instead i exchanged it for its nemesis or other speaker also worth 100 at BB and am much happier as it offered more. I am a proud owner of many boss speakers but I felt this unit was not worth $100. There were other things I didn’t like but these are the main ones. Highs and mids are good but only when speaker is standing.

      Hi, Texasheat,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your SoundLink Micro Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker. We appreciate your feedback, and we're sorry to hear that the Micro didn't meet your expectations. As the Micro features a front-facing 40 mm full-range driver, it will offer the best overall sound when directly facing the user.

Though it appears that you've chosen to return the speaker, we hope that you keep us in mind for the future. Our engineers are always working to improve our products. Thank you again, and have a great weekend.

Best regards, Jesse - Bose Support Bose

It is great, until a SW update, then nothing

Bose has forced an update on me and now my speaker won't work. Boses' only offer of help, since the warranty expired, was to sell me a new product. Why would I buy a product that will only function up to the day the warranty expires. Bose has decided that I can no longer use my bought and paid for device, but only up to the day that the warranty expired. Repetitive statement, purposely so! A software update should not disallow customers to use their products.

Hi - all software and firmware updates are implemented to fix bugs and introduce new features, so we recommend keeping your systems up to date. Also, the manufacturer's warranty may be 1-year, but we can certainly still help you with service options outside of this period. If you've encountered an issue that you cannot fix with our online troubleshooting pages, please reach out at https://bose.life/38Q1vZs and we'll be happy to look into things further with you! Not Quite All It's Cracked Up To Be

This is a good little speaker if all you want to do is play music. Normal phone calls will work, but if you want to use Skype, Zoom, Discord, etc. you cannot. You would think that one of the best sound device manufacturers around would include HFP AND HSP protocols, but apparently Bose lacks the know-how. Knowing this in advance would have definitely affected my decision process, and I now regret having purchased this item.

      Hey there,
I'm sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with your SoundLink Micro. Have you tried clearing the pairing list by pressing and holding the Bluetooth button for 10 seconds? Once complete, I would recommend deleting the pairing on your source device and reconnecting like a new connection.
The SoundLink Micro does support both HFP and HSP protocols.
      Thanks!

I got this for my bike rides as it attaches to the handle bars nicely. Worked great. I didn’t use many times. After about a year I went to use it and it won’t charge past 23%. For Hardly using it, It should have lasted longer than that! I wouldn’t suggest it.

    One problem after another...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this to make telephone calls and listen to the radio, but it does not work for either very well. The sound is indeed impressive. But the volume change buttons do not work. Also it does not work with Skype, Viber, WhatsApp, or any such services, making it useless for me. By the time finished trying to work out the volume control problem (without success) my 14 days to return it (and patience) had expired.

    Disappointing

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought this speaker thinking Bose was the best. I have not been able to enjoy it at all. From the confusing app download, (which takes forever to update) to the crackling poor sound quality and the source connection problems, it has not been an enjoyable purchase. I spent twice what I wanted to get Bose. Very disappointing.
