I've had a better experience with the Soundlink Max than the Bose Soundbar 600. In fact, you could use this instead of a soundbar if the room was smaller.

I use this one with my Samsung laptop, which has lousy sound quality and very low volume. It connects easily with my laptop's bluetooth function, as well as my android phone's bluetooth function. It's been great for travel. My only wish is that it had the Auxiliary function, but bluetooth has served me fine with the 2 devices I travel with.

The sound only seems marginally better than the Flex, but the cost is 3 times as much. Quite a bit larger than the Flex, but the sound is still good for its size. Playing two of the Flex together is cheaper and a better experience though.

Posted .Hi John, I'm happy you like the Bose sound in general! It's true that some customers prefer the Max, while others go for the Flex. One advantage the Max has is the AUX port, which the Flex doesn't have. Also, the Max can be played for slightly longer before it needs charging (20 hours at moderate volume). The clarity is beyond shocking. I truly expexted this to have decent sound, why? Because its Bose. I didnt, however, expect to be fully blown away. Even at the top end the sound quality is still much better than any Beats product. A must have small speaker for on the go!

I got a bluetooth transmitter for my old ipod and can play my favorite playlists and enjoy them through this speaker. The sound is not as loud when playing music from ipod as compared to playlist from my phone. Has to do with ipod, not speaker. Very satisfied with product. Love it, and would highly recommend to anyone!
