The second generation of Bose's Soundlink Mini seems like a minor update but it is an already great product. It now comes with voice prompts, better Bluetooth connectivity, different color options, a microphone and other minor differences. The audio seems to be about the same if not slightly better and the voice prompts and the improved Bluetooth connectivity are welcomed improvements. There have been a bundling option with Amazon Echo Dot which is a great combo but would be even better if it was built into the speaker itself as the Soundlink Mini is portable with a built in battery and while the Echo Dot is small and portable it doesn't have a built in speaker, it's not a deal breaker though. I definitely recommend buying if those upgrades appeal to you if not go with the 1st generation.

Big sound from a small box with exploding bass. Con: you have to buy separately the bag to keep the box.

This thing is by far the best I've heard. Great sound and the battery lasts for awhile too. Highly recommend

Nice product. I have had it about 6 months and the battery is failing. Has pretty good sound for a little guy, but many competitors are comparable. It connects every time, easy to set up, but Bose yet again has shown their superior craftsmanship may be a thing of the past. I bought the warranty but am not please that they no longer carry this model. Best Buy will make it right, but I question why I pay a premium for a brand name if they only last a few months. I am a electronics tech and assure you this was stored in optimal conditions, never outside, it actually was never moved. This was all Bose quality.

This unit puts out great sound and is portable. I love the music off my phone relaxing in the backyard

Setup was easy, hardware is made of quality materials, easy to use and sound quality is amazing.

I am so happy with my Bose sound link, it works great and I can take it wherever I go. My family and I have enjoyed listening our favorite songs.

I'm very happy with the sound quality, battery life and overal design but the Bluetooth range is quite disappointing. The signal is dropping at a distance of 15 feet! I tried different environments and configurations but no improvement. All of my other Bluetooth devices double the distance!

I bought these speakers as a gift for my wife so she could listen to music from her iPhone. It's very easy to set up the Bluetooth connection, and the docking station charger is also very convenient. We just leave it on the station and pick it up to carry outside (or wherever) when the music is playing. All in all -- a great addition to our music system!
