I bought this newer version but sound quality is not as good/clean and peak volume is significantly lower. Wish I had bought something else, even the older model.

Dead after 3 years

The battery started to not hold charge, tired everything that I could find online. Now it's a paperweight unless it is plugged in. Really defeats the purpose of a wireless speaker. I expected a longer lasting higher quality product from BOSE. On the plus side it sounds terrific. Another CON is that the mini II doesn't have a replaceable battery like the old mini. The battery is soldered to a circuit board not allowing an easy $30 battery replacement option. Never buying a BOSE product again.

A good place to begin troubleshooting is with a reset of your speaker, accomplished by turning the speaker on, and pressing and holding the Power button for ten seconds. The system will turn off once it has been reset. It's also a good time to visit our update site to be sure your software is current. You may do so at updates.Bose.com/SoundLinkmini. Good for an office cubicle I guess

One thing that may help is to reset the unit by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the 3 LEDs flash once. If you are still having the same trouble from multiple sources after that, there may be something going on with the speaker and we would definitely like to help you with that.
