This is my go-to speaker for listening to music everyday for me. Just amazing reproduction of sound from such a small speaker. I bought a second one! Great bass and crisp high notes. Pairs each time with no issues. I just turn it on and the music automatically transfers from my IPhone to this speaker.

I looked at several of these types of speakers! This one is by far the best!!! I can't get over how deep the bass is and how crystal clear the highs are! My house has a very open sound, so this speaker fills the whole house with unreal sound. People can't believe that it is all coming from one little speaker! I never write reviews because I usually find flaws in almost everything I buy! I'm somewhat of a sour puss! Anyway, I love this speaker! Actually Im not a big fan of some of the other ones that bose offers. This one is great! Hope this helps!!!

I was looking for an improved speaker for my computer, laptop, iPhone and iPad to replace a (very) old and well used Jambox. The Bose SoundLink Mini II is incredible. I listened to the sound in the store, and was totally impressed and satisfied. Just said "yeah" to the sales person. Once I got it home, was even MORE impressed. Great sound, good bass and fills my small room perfectly. After hunting around on line for a bit, I discovered (at least for MAC users) a Bose Updater App. Downloaded it, and updated the software. Didn't see this in the instructions. I love this small speaker and it's amazing sound. Would definitely recommend it.

Bought for a gift for my son. It will not hold a Bluetooth signal. He tried to return but it was past 15 days. Nice customer service rep indicates that one will make it right. Sure hope so!

Thanks a milllion to Bose engineers. Amazing sound from this tiny speaker. Incredible base sound, good design, easy to use, and now I enjoy music and podcast anywhere I want. It doesn't matters wheather you are in living room, bedroom, bathroom, balcony, or Kitchen. I recommend this speaker everyone wants to keep high quality sound with you.

I got this thinking Bose, great sound ,but no, I own a smaller speaker different brand,and the sound is better on the smaller one.

This speaker is out of this world. You wont believe how clear and deep bass that comes out of the small "thing". I thought I bought it for myself but my son has hijacked it. He uses it everywhere. The battery lasts for ever. I went to buy Bose® - SoundLink® Color Bluetooth, but when I had the sound from Bose® - SoundLink® Mini Bluetooth Speaker II I was like no way I have to get it the price did not matter to me.

I returned this item because the sound quality and volume did not meet my expectations. May be okay for other users.

Not impressed short charging cable only had it less than 3 months and it quit working waiting on a replacement

The base this speaker sits in is horrible..when buying with the dot its not compatible with samsung phones..

Returned the Beats Pill 2.0 due to the very underwhelming sound and as soon as I heard this Bose SLM2, I was sold. Since I've bought this speaker I haven't wanted to stop using it; The sound is amazing coming from such a small speaker and the price is definitely worth it. I'd recommend this product to anyone and of course Best Buy accommodated my exchange seamlessly.

After 45 days the speaker stopped working. Would not charge. And you cannot return to Bestbuy you have to return to Bose. The customer service rep did me a "favor" by giving me a return label so I did. Not need to pay shipping. Very disappointing. Don't buy this from bestbuy.

My overall rating of this product can be broken down into a total of 4 different criteria. These criteria are sound quality, durability, compatibility, and portability. Sound Quality The sound quality of this product is absolutely fantastic compared to other portable Bluetooth speakers on the market. Bose is known for creating products that produce a “full sound” with very high audio clarity, and this product is no exception. Even while playing music that contains a high assortment of different instruments, all of the sounds are evenly balanced and work cohesively to present music the way it’s supposed to sound. Durability The SoundLink mini II is amongst the most durable of portable Bose products. I have personally owned this product for about 6 months, and despite the amount of times I’ve dropped the speaker on hard surfaces, the quality of the product remains unaffected. Compatibility Whether your intention is to use the SoundLink Mini II with a mobile phone, a computer, or any other Bluetooth device, incompatibility is not going be an issue. I have flawlessly been able to pair the speaker with my phone, my laptop, and the cellphones of several different friends. Once the speaker is powered on, all one needs to do is pair their device with the speaker in order to be connected. Once the speaker is connected to your paired device, you can control the volume of the speaker directly from the device you are using. Portability The SoundLink Mini II is approximately the size of a water bottle. Its dimensions are 2 inches by 7.1 inches by 2.3 inches, and it weighs less than 2 and a half pounds. When the weather is nice, I often take this Bluetooth speaker with me on hikes. Because it’s so compact, the speaker can easily be placed in the water bottle carrier of my backpack in order to listen to high quality music out loud and on the go. The wireless range of this product reaches up to 30 feet; therefore, the speaker is very convenient if you want to walk about a room and play music without having to be in close proximity. One minor concern I had before purchasing this product was the price, which is set at $200. However, because this product has remained in the same condition as when it was newly purchased, the price is very appropriate for the overall quality of the product. The SoundLink Mini II has withstood the “test of time”, and continues to provide exceptional sound without the fear of diminishing sound quality. Overall, I would give this product a nearly perfect score out of 5 stars. I’ve personally owned this product for over 6 months, and have yet to notice any functionality or sound quality issues. If you enjoy taking long walks outdoors, studying with pleasant background music, or just want to jam out with your friends, the Bose SoundLink Mini II is excellent for these types of situations. Without a doubt, this is the first product I would recommend to anyone who is in the market for a portable Bluetooth speaker.

First let me say that I shopped in the store and was able to connect with my phone listen to my own music before buying. The environment is noisy, but it did help. Secondly I bought two other units, took them home, and returned them each the next day before settling on this one. Best Buy handled this smoothly. Sometimes brick-and-mortar beats online shopping. I looked at the Beats Pill+ for $180, the Sony SRS-XB3 for $130, and the Bose Soundlink Mini II for $180, in that order. The Beats had good volume, good sound for bass-heavy music, bass boost, and USB-to-lightening cable power. I returned it for less-than excellent sound, and I was disappointed that the lightening cable was only for power - I had thought it would be used for high quality connection to my iPhone, but that is by bluetooth like the others. Also, the sound effects when turning it on and off were loud and obnoxious. Back it went. The Sony had very good volume, good sound for all music, bass boost, but the power is by wall charger with proprietary jack. This was a deal-killer for me, since I want to be able to charge it in the car. For sound alone this may be the best of the three, but back it went. It's also the largest of the three. The Bose had the lowest volume of the three. I generally think that Bose is highly over-rated, however, the sound is quite good considering its size. Reasonable bass, midrange, and treble. No adjustments available. Power is by USB-to-miniUSB, which can be plugged directly into the speaker or into a very nice charging cradle. Voice prompts are useful and not obnoxious like the Beats. There is a rubber pad on the bottom which is good for a table top or dashboard top. All three units are heavy for their size. None are miraculous for sound, since physics limits what can be done with that small size. For household or outdoor use, the Sony may be the best. For overall flexibility including the car, I chose the Bose. Beats may be good for bass-heavy music, particular in the Apple world.

This was my first purchase of a bluetooth speaker. I am rather particular when it comes to sound quality and prefer to listen to natural, faithful sound reproductions. This speaker does not disappoint in that regard. The tonal ranges are very good and the bass is not overpowering. This compact speaker provides an enjoyable listening experience. I spent some time reading, listening and viewing Jims Review Room comparing several bluetooth speakers, and the Bose, in my opinion (for whatever it is worth), was the best.

Not sure why Bose is so slow to adapt to the changing needs of its customer base, I suppose because they don't have to? Last year's Sound Link Mini was a fantastic device, and now this year's is even better. It's nothing new, so if you had last year's like me, and were thinking of upgrading, it's a bit of a waste. Last year's model got about 6 hours of battery, this one gets about 8 hours, but most of the time I'm not listening for that long anyhow, so it's a non-issue to me. The other improvement is last year's used a proprietary charger, whereas this year they've updated it to use an industry-standard MicroUSB. Not ground breaking, but a nice bonus if you use a phone that uses micro usb to charge. I have an iPhone, so it doesn't make a bit of difference to me as I have to carry the extra cable either way.

This speaker is easy to sync & use. Music sounds great and you can carry it around with ease. I also bought the silicone cover & travel case. I use it mostly on my IPad since is does use some data if you stream it from your phone.
