I am a (self-proclaimed) audiophile and normally fall I to the same trap as other (self-proclaimed) audiophiles and say, "Bose blows." But after testing a dozen or more units in this same class (and researching, I'm ashamed to say, at least 30 hrs), I have to say that Bose (at least in this case) does what they do really well. They put powerful, decent sound in a small package. For something that is this small, you'll be hard pressed to find anything better, even if you're willing to spend $600 on a boutique mini bluetooth speaker. Yes, it distorts at high volume, yes bluetooth loses quality, but for a tiny portable package, it does the trick. It will not shake the house, nor will it full a large room, but for the size, you won't find anything better as of Christmas 2014.

For a Bluetooth speaker this has a great sound, I was in the store trying out other speakers and even though this was more money than the other speakers I felt that is was worth it, great bass(sometimes a little to much) and treble, my only complaint is I wish it had a bass and treble control, but none of the speakers I looked at had this
